he looks like he’s trying to change the channel, and she looks like she’s going shopping in River Oaks.
My family lives in one of those suburban neighborhoods with the lake/retention pond park areas. Today they posted a video of an airboat rescue of people who got trapped in the retention pond somehow. An airboat rescue! In Richmond! Insanity.
That shark gets around, man. He (she?) was also in a flooded Oklahoma City mall, in addition to all the locations you listed.
Nope.
I’m going to lose my shit if he comes to Houston tomorrow and makes reference to ~the bigliest storm~ or whatever. Such a horse’s ass and you know he’s going to make it All About Him.
I think the word you’re looking for is “secede,” and it’s an extremely small, vocal, stupid minority that wants to do it.
and I believe those are the ones who knocked Indianola (which is about where Harvey actually made landfall) off the map twice.
“people are dying and the ones who survived lost everything, but they voted for the wrong team so fuck ‘em”
I hope he gets attacked by floating fire ants. For all eternity.
which part of the US is safe from natural disasters?

Or, you know, 20 inches of rain in three and a half hours, straining already strained bayous.
I went to public school in Texas.
People not from Houston/the Houston metro are having a wonderful time explaining to people from there how evacuations are possible and should’ve been done, why people in Dickinson (Galveston County) are at the mercy of Houston’s mayor (no,) and all kinds of shit. No. Our infrastructure is bad and in no way would be…
The mayor of Houston did. Dickinson, which is southeast, and in a different county, issued a voluntary evacuation.
Dickinson is not Houston. Not even in the same county. Dickinson was under a voluntary evac beginning Thursday.
yeah, Brays Bayou is already close to its banks so the next round will be another headache for Meyerland. The issue with this storm (for Houston, anyway) was never going to be wind like a typical hurricane, it was always the Allison-level of rain it’s going to drop - which hasn’t even started yet.
Hi. My brother’s neighborhood, just west of Houston, is dealing with tornado damage. These hot takes of “well nothing happened to me so what’s the big deal, meteorologists?” can just fuck off.
