Obviously this needs the JR treatment

I went the DE razor route and don't regret it at all. It works amazingly well. I can tell the difference as soon as I step out of the shower and look in the mirror. I'll never go back to a cartridge razor.

That was my thought as well and I'd rather not cut my head all to hell. End up looking like this:

I shave my head and am wondering if a safety razor would be a good alternative to 4-5 blade razors. Does anyone else use a safety razor for their dome?
