And this right here is absolutely why I hate how abusers co-opt BDSM and get away with it. Because we’re a sexually repressed culture, the majority are willing to look the other way so they don’t get outed. Fuck people who commit heinous acts in the name of kink and the people who protect them because assuaging their…
Yeah but this woman was a slut and like “rough sex” so that means anything that happens to her is ok. I know every time I have rough sex, someone nearly dies. Its completely normal. If you consent to rough sex obviously you are consenting to your own murder. Plus she was drinking and probably showing too much leg.
So hold on, a girl who is trafficked and preyed upon, forced in prostitution, kills a man who picks her up, is given over 50 years, but a grown ass man killing his girlfriend, pouring bleach on her, and not calling 911 until she’s definitely dead only gets 3 years? Yeah, I can definitely see how he’s more capable of…
I’m surprised he got any time being rich. I’m surprised they didn’t give him community service.
LOL this is why you should probably have someone supervising that millenial social media marketing intern who’s probably on tumblr at the exact same time as twitter and is probably pissed off they didn’t get the days off they wanted this week.
He might not be the best conversationalist, but I found this to be surprisingly endearing? Having a baby girl is fire! Having a partner who likes to go for walks is nice, too! I was expecting much worse from this interview, but these highlights are sweet
2018 everyone. Fuck.
How much time and money and effort are they spending on all this, when they could just trot her out for a five-minute live press conference/statement saying, “See? I’m fine. Now leave me alone.” It’s almost like she’s not alive or something...
I like the irony of your using the phrase “spirit animal” here.
Their account is one of the reasons I check twitter regularly. whoever runs their social media is brilliant, and I’m glad they made an appropriate reply to that tweet.
it’s a pretty well known meme and I’ve seen it used in the vet world to describe fat cats which is clearly where they got it from but go off. Being perpetually offended must get tiring.
He alluded to suicidal thoughts, its not a demotion its someone saying you need a break and need help. Worker’s rights (and everything else) don’t matter if the worker is dead.
My friend has BPD, also. She’s medicated and sees her therapist often. DBT didn’t work for her, either. I wish I knew what would. She’s alienated almost everyone in her life.
As someone who actually works in mental health, primarily with people who are hospitalized due to threats of harm towards others or themselves, Pete got off LIGHT. People are involuntarily hospitalized for less, and once in, it is very, very difficult to get out. It sounds like he is being surrounded by support - I…
What works for some doesn’t work for others. I’m fortunate that my mental disorder (GAD) was treatable with the first drug I tried and talk therapy. I know people who have to try several meds to see what takes, and still have a hard time leaving the house.
It isn’t discrimination to determine an employee is unfit for work due to medical reasons. If he showed up in the throes of a bad case of the flu and Lorne made this call, I doubt you’d allege discrimination. Pete has a serious disease, and this past weekend it made him very sick. Don't trivialize the seriousness of…
Nah they’re really perpetuating a dangerous stereotype here that BPD has no effective treatment. Psych meds work. CBT and DBT work. Any mental illness can resist treatment...
I am medicated, and under care from a pretty great GP. But DBT doesn’t work for me.
I have BPD and it is the fucking worst. I’m medicated and I have an excellent GP. But I still have major issues. Earlier this year I attempted suicide. It was my first attempt in over 6 years. It wasn’t a cry for help. I ended up with major tendon damage and in hospital for some time.
