Yeah I remember reading the summary of Dark Place and thinking “ooh, no thanks”...but I bet it was tame compared to the vile crimes against women in Pretty Girls. It was really well written (Karin Slaughter...first one I’ve read) but ugh. I would’ve been just fine not reading some of those scenes.

Since I started with Gone Girl, I have been hesitant to read her others since it would not be a fair comparison —but a good author is a good author so I'll try SO! Thanks!
