Over a billion in population. Even if only a half of those people buy a console that’s a whole lot of consoles. I may not like the effect that having to appeal to a antidemocratic regime does to our entertainment but I can’t fault a company wanting to get into that market.

Nope, video games now have to appeal to the Chinese market. You can’t say anything negative about the Chinese Government.

That’s kind of different. As far as I know there’s no specific government law saying “absolutely no sex on a PS4". Its just that the assumption is that it would have a negative effect on sales and brand image.

Personally I find the interface clunky, the storefront difficult to browse and I cannot believe I’ve been using Steam for this long and they still don’t have tabs. Granted, things have improved and have gotten better since I started using Steam. But it took way too long and hopefully some competition will help them

Preloading is only useful when buying new games and I don’t like the idea of preordering just to get to play the game within an acceptable time frame. And actually I do believe there are some places that do provide the “download service” you’re talking about. It’s still very inconvenient and sort of defeats the whole

I feel that internet service has to get far better for an all digital future to work. Or at least work for everybody on every economic scale. It’s easy enough for people in urban/suburban areas to find decent internet. Harder for rural areas or soldiers in the military.

Well you’ve been forced to use Steams crappy service for years so you should be used to it by now. I do wish Epic had come out with a better service, I will agree with the naysayers there, but if Epic exclusivity forces Steam to become a better more attractive service to both customers and publishers then all the

He was nonwhite, Jewish, called for compassion and to get money out of religion. They’d... well, I’m sure we all know what they’d do to him.

This should be enough to impeach him. He has outright admitted he’s willing to circumvent the law and abuse his position for... what, the fifth time?

I’m not convinced. I haven’t stayed with Steam because I think it’s a good service, it’s pretty piss poor IMO, I stayed out of convenience.

None at all. That’s what’s so good about competition. BUT, as you say publishers set the prices. They’re not going to go to the Epic Store to make less money. I’ll agree that publishers should have agreed to release games exclusively on the Epic Store that have no already been announced on Steam.

If religion dies in America they won’t even be able to blame atheists.

It’s not Sunday. It’s Leg-day.

It has many names.

“Dad, will a grow up big and strong like you one day?”

I kind of want that fries katsudon.

Well yeah, because he was working with a Republican. I mean, no ones saying the Democrats are innocent.

Right back at you. Always loved your name.

There’s good stuff in the isekai trash heap. Ascendance of a Bookworm is surprisingly good and I hope the anime comes out west along with an official translation of the light novel. Saga of Tanya the Evil is god tier as far as I’m concerned. And of course the aforementioned So I’m a Spider, So What with honorable

Yeah, I’m not saying the Epic Store is a good service. But even if they had a service that rivals Steam it wouldn’t be enough to crack that market share. For whatever reason people seem ready to defend Steam in spite of its problems and they really, really hate downloading another launcher. Exclusives was one of the
