They’re going to say a lot. The question is if it’s true or not.

Then as far as I’m concerned they would have lost the moral high ground. You have multiple women all saying the same thing. You either do the right thing or you don’t.

You’re just saying they shouldn’t ask him to resign.  

Then let them fire blanks. “But they’ll do it anyway” should never be an appropriate response.

Then don’t prove them right. Have a zero tolerance for sexual assault allegations while in office. Investigate all claims and remove those from the democratic party who are sexual predators.

There are times when I wonder about the difference between liberals and conservatives. The comments section is one of them.

I’m for having some basic ideological stances you need to support to be a Democrat. Do you absolutely need to support a $15 minimum wage increase and single payer health care? Maybe not. But fuck yes you need to support women’s rights and be anti sexual assault.

It means there’s a clear line between Republicans and Democrats. Republicans are willing to support a serial rapist and a phedophile. Democrats will not support you if you sexually assault man, woman or child. For fucks sake people, yes the moral high ground is important! Because if there’s no difference between the…

Hear hear. Sometime we do have to vote for people we don’t agree with %100 of the time. But that doesn’t mean voting for racists, sexists or sexual harassers. Or showing them support.

Ideological purity? We’re talking about allowing sexual predators into the democratic party. I don’t mind having a wide ideological stance in the democratic party but I would hope we could at least draw a line at “if you touch a woman inappropriately you’re out”.

Except there are plenty of people using Franken as a prop for Moore. “Democrats are worse! So many Democrats support sexual assaulter Franken! Oh but if it’s ok if a Democrat assaults a woman!” Stop. Giving. Then. Ammunition.

Because who cares if women are targeted for abuse as long as the abuser is politically convenient. I sometimes think progressives are just as big of an asshole as Conservatives.

What’s the alternative? Keep proving the Right correct when they call us hypocrites? Keep supporting sexual harassers because “hey, it’s not rape”?

It takes ammunition away from them they use against us.
