Useful in case youtube deletes your channel but not yet a serious contender as a replacer or a rival to YouTube. I’m not seeing anywhere near the same level of viewership as YouTube. It’s still small potatoes.

Absolutely, just last week a channel that I’m a fan of had their channel removed with no warning or explanation. Luckily it was put back up on monday but I can understand why content creators are more than a little worried when youtube isn’t super clear on why.

Although I doubt Netflix would want anything that could be called hate speech either. They might even be more strict than youtube.

Plus, you know, people realizing that they can say what they want but that doesn’t mean they aren’t going to face consequences.

No reason why advertisers should want their products associated with content they deem objectionable. They have every right to pull that ad and if YouTube wants to keep running they need their ad revenue. Not all that different from pretty much every medium.

Where exactly? Only Twitch rivals Youtube and that’s not always appropriate for every type of channel and only a few people have been able to survive just through their own websites.
