It sucks that your Switch and others have had problems but as of yet I’ve seen no evidence of how pervasive these problems are. Many, like myself, have experienced no problems with the system at all. Just because a few dozen, or even a few hundred, have had some issues doesn’t mean the Switch has failed to deliver.

HA! No it isn’t. The Virtuaboy was. And just from an economic standpoint, this launch has been actually very successful. I haven’t seen any evidence of a large scale hardware failure. Some issue with the left joycon which I haven’t experienced and poor wi-fi.

Yeah, it’s hard to tell if this is all just Nintendo hate blowing things out of proportion or if there’s a significant level of console failures. If you’re worried wait. If you’re willing to take a chance it’s a great console experience so far.

They’ve got a cheap budget PC to surf the net and do basic word processing. Not necessarily a gaming PC.

The Wii U’s processor was designed by IBM as well as the Wii. The PS4's CPU was designed by AMD as well as the Xbox Ones. If having a processor not designed by Nintendo means Nintendo doesn’t make the Switch then none of the console manufacturers are making consoles.

Honestly, try the Switch. Wait till the library fills out if nothing is catching your eye but speaking as someone who hasn’t been impressed by a Nintendo console since the SNES I’m loving this thing.

At 720p and 30 fps. If you get the PS4 Pro maybe 4k at 30 fps.

Which would mean Mario and Zelda. Maybe Fire Emblem. GiantMan is right, without them having to create software to fill up a library for a console they’d put out the few franchises they know will make money every couple of years.

You’ll have a while to wait. Them going full publisher means giving up profits from the console, official peripherals, controllers, etc. It would take a full-on Sega level fail for them to go entirely publisher and I don’t think that fail is going to be the Switch.
