@tehsquish: Obama expressed a personal opinion about the outcome of an ongoing criminal investigation/trial and that was not prudent. However, it does not constitute any kind of official "judgment." Obama was not "deciding" anything.

@DragonTHC: I agree. I read the sentence, "He was wearing a cheap suit he hastily purchased," and couldn't help wondering if he was wearing the suit before he bought it and why he was buying a suit at Nintendo headquarters anyway.

It was a seedy motel and should not in any way be construed as "her property." By your argument, the owner of the hotel should have kept the laptop.

Look, they both committed crimes.

The next-generation Wii will obviously be called 最終兵器新型Wii弐号機.

Domestic tourism is also hurting from this. And with factories shut down and supply chains completely out of whack, this is really doing some serious damage to Japan's economy. Not to mention the 13,000 dead and missing.

Remember kids, the best way to avoid being caught by the police is not to commit crimes in the first place.

I hope she didn't write to Dear Prudence via email.

He's talking about wanting a relationship, not wanting to find some girl to bang. Considering how much it costs to go clubbing, he might as well just get a hooker.

Yes, thank you. That is what I meant. The club (as in bar) scene is a waste of time and money. Joining a "real" club can help you make friends and, even if they don't become romantic partners, those friends also have friends who might want to meet a friend of a friend, too.

@DrSquirrel: As someone who works for a major Japanese corporation where they certainly don't allow that, I can see why America has lost its competitive advantage in the global marketplace...

As somebody who has both a job and a girlfriend, I simply cannot imagine how 4chan users could possible have enough spare time to do all of this unless they a) don't have jobs, b) don't have girlfriends/boyfriends or c) don't have either.

@junior ghoul: You're looking in the wrong spot. The vast majority of women in the world just aren't interested in meeting guys online (and for good reason). You should try getting involved in clubs or other coed activities and let it be something that develops naturally, rather than making it about finding somebody.

Is it just me or does the original poster come off as kind of gay?

Do the people making this list just hate RPGs? The genre seems woefully underrepresented.

I think you might be going a little too far in describing the differences between the Japanese and American media. I've been getting my news mostly from the news tab at google.jp and more than half of the articles I've seen over the past week have been about the nuclear power plant (these are all Japanese news

@dubious_maximus: I assure you, the Japanese language does have profanity.

Michael Bay is seriously going to make a goddamn movie about this thing.

You're wrong. Aieki is not semen. Aieki (literally "love juice") is the fluid secreted from a woman's vagina when she's in the mood for a nice, hot, chinpo.

@GunFlame: was hit for 25 damage. GunFlame fainted.: I'll one-up you: I do not like Kyoto. Kyoto has nice things to see, but it's always so crowded and the public transportation is just terrible. One of my coworkers (he's from Osaka, but lives in Kyoto with his wife, who's from Kyoto) and he told me that Kyoto people
