This sucks. Bernie is the man but you make us look bad when you post this drivel. Plus did you really think a gendered insult would fly on a feminist website? Huh wut?

What no on says about this “free college for Billionaires” comment is that Hillary’s system, by definition involved poor people having to prove they’re poor in order to get free college.

Giving the kids of billionaires like Donald Trump free college... as if those kids are going to a school that would be eligible for that kind of kick back. Please those kids are getting free college regardless.

Yesterday a particularly clever commenter coined the term “SmugMug” to describe it. Strangely it's always colossal assholes who have it. People like Martin Shkreli, Ted Cruz, Merritt, this asshole mentioned above, Conrad Hilton, etc.

These are people who go out to commit crimes, record themselves doing it and seemingly figured that they wouldn’t go to jail (white (anti-choice) folks, SMDH). I think it still hasn’t set in for them. I can’t wait for their weeping moment when they're found guilty.

Martyr-complex. They love that they are being ‘persecuted’ for their beliefs - which is how they view this. Extremists are scary as fuck.

God, his hair is so douchey....my vag just dried out from the douche-ness. MY PH BALANCES ARE OFF PEOPLE!

Good God, I hope you’re right... If only we could get young liberals to pay attention/vote in local and state elections as much as they do in national ones.

Ugh, it makes me cry a bit. My 9-5 is working for a nonprofit that does education and advocacy on a lot of social justice issues that are deeply emotional and held beliefs (death penalty, immigration reform, anti-war, etc.). It makes me want to shake things to be like “yes, racism TOTALLY is still around and who knows

Exactly. And articles like this that actively go out to DISCOURAGE youth from voting are dangerous. Can you imagine if people in college or university actually went to the polls, the kind of change that could happen? Most powerful group of possible swing voters and they steadfastly refuse to participate.

Which is why I'm supporting Sanders in the primary. I don't see him as being any less hamstrung by his platform or socialist label than Hillary is by her baggage, so as far as I'm concerned I might as well vote for the person I believe is going to push harder for the things I want to see done. And again, even if he

I feel like this Bernie/Hillary debate is neither here nor there because whichever one of them wins, none of us are voting in the general for the dude who is going to appoint four more Scalias anyway. Still, the debate is incredibly interesting to me, if only in how it contrasts with where we were eight and 12 years

This one, from the original piece at the New Yorker, is almost unbelievable:

At this point with the gerrymandering and the stupid electorate the President can only act as a defensive back during a Hail Mary, i.e. swatting all the GOP’s destructive legislation to the ground (and maybe appointing a few judge).

Undecided voter here who is trying hard not to get involved with internecine Democratic turf wars, but-

looks like the BernieBros are out in force in the greys! Ignore those assholes.

Bernie supporter here. If it helps, I have never once called a single Hillary supporter anything nasty, either online or in person. Sure, I’m a drop in an ocean but it’s all I can do. Here’s to keeping things civil!

Agreed. I support Bernie because of his policy (although I know he won’t be able to fulfill everything because I’m not an idiot), so if someone wants to have a civil discussion over policy, I am more than happy to do it. It’s when people tell me I’m just young and naive, or that I’m ruining the country by supporting

BernieBros are a pretty small group, you’re right. Most of the other supporters I’ve met that actually volunteer, donate, phonebank, etc. tend to have a much more balanced and nuanced view of Hillary Clinton and other candidates. I want more people to see these supporters.

So, basically, it’s like everytime you try to have a faculty meeting. Everyone is never free on the same night.
