Could it be Carson is one of those people, like me, who can only use the bathroom at his house for #2? Because that would be a totally legit reason to fly home in the middle of a campaign.

I’m sure it’s totally a coincidence that a legislator who is going after gamergaters was harassed by a tactic known to be used by gamergaters. Complete coincidence. Next you’re going to tell me she did it herself as a false flag. Those comments have to be on the way

Just another quick comment— my husband and I were discussing this a lot today (we both support Sanders), and he was able to scan twitter and easily come up with a bunch of anti-semetic tweets from Hillary supporters. (He’s jewish, so he knows the dog whistles.) Neither of us think this represents Hillary supporters—

Exactly! Not to mention most of the commentors on here seem to think only the white males support Bernie and they’re the only ones being dicks. Sorry to burst the reality bubble but I’ve been told I’m misogynistic for not voting for Hilary. Doesn’t matter your reasons, if you won’t vote for the female candidate (even

I don’t like Clinton either, but do you really not see how the kind of rhetoric being discussed here can sound just a wee bit reactionary?

I remember someone was explaining to me why Hillary would be able to get stuff done with Republicans more than Bernie would, and I said, “Hillary said one of enemies she is most proud of making is Republicans at the first debate” and I got called a Berniebro. All I did was repeat what she said! I have seen some sexist

Right? It’s like any arguement, no matter how polite or substantive, can be shut down by “BERNIEBRO!”

Yeah, it’s annoying, but I don’t reeeeeally give a shit, since I don’t think it’s a reflection of Sanders or his policies. We saw the exact same thing with Obama supporters being disgustingly misogynistic toward Hillary in ‘08. I think it’s just ... what a lot of dudes in America are like. It’s not like conservative

As a longtime Bernie supporter and feminist woman, let me be clear that a lot of the “Bernie bros” aren’t in it for Bernie’s policies as much as they are to hate on Hillary and Republicans at the same time. A lot of these same people were Obama supporters in ‘08 but if you ask them, they’ll admit they didn’t even like

I just really can’t stand it when I comment on the policies of Bernie and why I prefer them, then I get attacked for just being a stupid millennial who is being unrealistic and is voting for a candidate who won’t get anything done.

Yeah I mean I admit Berniebros can mansplain like no other, but I have Hillary supporters condescend me for being a naive college student, even though I just genuinely agree with his policies. Being told I’m just a stupid college kid for voting for someone who is representing my interests is just getting old. So I

Like SammyDavis said, there are people all over this article saying that exact thing: “his supporters have turned me off of voting for him.” Never mind the fact that his campaign is literally the only campaign that has actively encouraged its followers to be civil, and never mind the fact that his supporters have

If you’re unsure of why so many Bernie fans are “rabid,” it’s because we’re tired of the media and other liberals who tell us he’s unelectable. So many of us are fervently trying to convince Hilary supporters who point to her “pragmatism” and “electability” that Sanders isn’t unelectable just because his ideas

Yeah, for sure. Frankly, I’ve gotten just as much condescension from Clinton supporters who say shit like “now I know Bernie’s platform sounds very nice and all, but we have to be realistic unless we want to allow a Democratic loss, and Hillary is more electable,” and so on. I think the “Bernie bro” is actually just

I’ve seen several people in on this very page saying exactly that. Scroll up.

It’s an issue for all of the candidates. (And the issue is usually with the supporters who are least informed, and treat political contests like sports games, where there’s one team they’re dead-set on rooting for, regardless of what new information they get about their candidate.) It’s just that Sanders has actually

I’m a Bernie supporter and made a polite comment on a Planned Parenthood facebook page, saying I disagreed with their decision to endorse a candidate. Didn’t even mention Bernie Sanders. I got multipe abusive responses within minutes. Bad behavior is not limited to one camp.

I think the Sanders campaign has again responded well to some deserved criticism. It’s not their fault that some of Sanders’ supporters are douchebags, but I think it’s cool that they are addressing it.

The problem is people who don’t want to vote for Sanders because of a few people on Twitter. Not of his politics nor policies, but of people on Twitter. It takes real privilege to not vote due to some mean people on Twitter.

It really makes me like Bernie more that he came out against this behavior. I wish he would have gone further and said “like it or not, Hillary Clinton has done a lot of this country, was a hardworking senator and first lady. It’s not cool to call her a twat.”
