Well there is the scene where she gets drunk and comes on to him and he states its wrong to take advantage of a drunk woman.

He was one of the few guys trying to hold back the storm.

Hopefully he can sue for wrongful termination based on having a disability and collect his pension that was due to him. Sadly this probably means a large chunk of what he gets (if he wins or gets a settlement) will go to his lawyers.

“When we have the microphone,” she says, “how often do we pass it back to the people who are experiencing a different challenge, but who are equally worthy as having the microphone?”

I’m in no way dissing Swift. I’d say I’m more heading off criticism of the author of this post, because how she characterized the people on the cover fit all of them perfectly, except for Swift. I think Swift’s story is a very important part of the greater movement, mostly because it does show the enormous obstacles

My whole adult life I have heard the ultra-conservative slander that gay men are all secret pedophiles. I did not realize they thought this was a qualification for the Senate.

My dad’s only a regular middle-of-the-road blue-collar conservative, and I love him, but we’ve had tons of fights, particularly over politics, throughout the years, so I can’t imagine what it must be like to be the progressive-minded child of a real bigot.

...and as the Alt-Right woman lay dying of her wounds, she asked of the Alt-Right male, “Why have you done this to me?”. The Alt-Right male smirked and answered, “Look bitch, you knew I was a snake.”

We just need John Oliver to host future Presidential debates.

I think after criticizing coal barons and interviewing Snowden in person, John Oliver has honed himself to take on any topic that requires courage.

I want someone to grill Trump like this so bad. I know he will just blumble and flumble but I still want someone to sit down and hold him accountable for every shitty stupid thing he’s ever done, said or tweeted.

One of the proposals I thought was interesting was mapping where the most harassment and assaults take place, and flooding those areas with extra security personnel. I think it’s a good idea to have uniformed security, but I would like hard data to tell us if that will work better than non-uniformed security (as well

Memories...

when I lived in NYC I would always call people out if I ever saw it. As someone who has been assaulted on various occasions, you start to notice it more, but on crowded subways it’s nearly impossible to see unfortunately

I did not know this about him. Class act all the way.

I would like to see some real follow up on that. I have never seen anything other than internet rumors, but from what I understand, the attack was particularly brutal and her mother blamed her for it.

One of the reasons that I will always love Jimmy Stewart is that he reached a point in his career when he would not take romantic leads anymore because the studios refused to give him age appropriate costars.

Louis B also feigned being hurt when she told him to stop because of all he’d done for her.

I find it really interesting how Republicans are grabbing on to this Weinstein/ all the sexual assault stories to come out in the past few weeks. It’s like this all somehow validates their theories about “Hollyweird” but they all have this nostalgia for old movies.

I remember reading that Judy Garland was molested pretty much everybody in the movie business during her teen years. From Louis B Meyer the studio chief to the little people on the set of The Wizard of Oz, she was constantly groped and who knows what else. No one helped that poor girl.
