Yeah, though they didn't say *this* Wrestlemania. That'd be a great tease if they do that in 2 years with a face US Champ Rollins challenging a heel WWE Champ Owens, though.

Yes. And Reigns should be Goldberg 2.5 (with hair)
It feels like they have selective memory* with NXT. The announcers will know NXT people (that's Kevin Owens! NXT Champion!), but NXT relationships don't carry over during the transition to the main roster. Which is insane.
Reigns is about as over as Ryback (except Ryback has a catch phrase) - audience pop huge for his signature moves, but anything else just gets a sigh.
It would be "logical" in the sense that he's had a bunch of segments where he's tried to challenge for the title and then has been beat to it by another wrestler, or his music won't cue, or he gets beaten up backstage or whatever. It'd still be out of nowhere, but it would show some forethought in the writing.…
Few things:
There was a moment during that exchange where HBK was facing the audience (his right side to Rollins) like he would do it… and then he just left the ring. WWE RAW as a metaphor, really.
Agreed, though I'm apprehensively optimistic about Taker/Lesnar. They've done such a shoddy job hyping it up that I'm still 15% convinced they'll do something to screw us out of the match until Rumble or Mania.
The Orton/Harper thing is so weird because they *advertised* Ambrose vs. Strowman/Harper (on screen), then Rowan showed up, and they didn't acknowledge the switch until the main event.
Bland character? Same thing over and over again? He IS the next Cena! Just needs to learn a new injury-risking move ever 6 months, and he'll be right there.
NEXT WEEK: RIC FLAIR, SHAWN MICHAELS, UNDERTAKER, BROCK LESNAR!
I think Breeze's "Frustrated" storyline has a ways to go. It only became a (kayfabe) talking point after Brooklyn. I'm guessing his loss to Crews will be the one that makes him snap for good (whatever that entails) before the next Takeover.
Right on, @1derer:disqus. And, frankly, she's probably better off being on the backburner while the Team PCB implosion/war against Bellas plays out. The Bellas are the same as ever (which is a mixed bag), Paige's character is a mess, Charlotte's character is still one-note, and Becky is even more in the background.…
I remember liking him in NXT, but honestly it's been so long since I've seen him work an actual match that I can't remember. He *at least* deserves better than he's getting right now.
Also: all clean finishes. The main roster writers seem afraid to let faces lose clean at big matches, so you get Jon Stewart interfering, Undertaker winning by ref distraction, Ambrose losing via exploding TV, Cena being distracted by a singing child, etc.
Given time to develop more of an edge (which they're doing now), I think Breeze has tremendous upside. But then, I also thought that about Bo Dallas. Breeze'll be Lil Ziggler when he gets to the main roster.
Literally just told a friend I imagine when Asuka gets brought up to the main roster, she'll be written like female Funaki in, like, a month.
This isn't a defense of it because you're absolutely right, but I bet they feel locked into the "Divas" thing because of Total Divas and branding and whatever. Kind of like Disney Princesses but for women.
Right on. Everyone ImBetterThanYou mentioned THRIVED in NXT, went to the main roster, and immediately got squandered. Bailey/Sasha Dana/Asuka work because they have clear-cut characters and simple, easy to understand stakes. Paige's character's been a mess for 3 weeks, the Bellas play to the crowd then cut heel…
I think the emphasis on how Breeze "comes up short in the big matches" telegraphed Crews' win too much, going in. I'm interested to see where that goes, but I enjoy that it's developing his character, even if he has to lose for that to happen.
