The Tights and Fights Facebook group is really good (and so is the Tights and Fights podcast)

I forgot that Mickie is even in the division! They could at least use the women's division before the third hour.

Totally. I'm happy to be left wanting more but I wonder whose decision the episode lengths were. Netflix seems pretty loose with most of their shows going a over the half hour or hour mark they set. A cast this big (and endearing!) kind of lends itself to maybe 35-40 minutes/episode.

I think the majority of that match was also much faster paced than you would have seen in that era. Cool cameos though!

Mickie makes sense - she's a veteran and former women's/diva's champion. Dana makes more sense than Alicia Fox's exclusion. I think it did a good job getting Nia over as a monster competitor (I didn't find her clumsy, boring OR green during the match) while also making Sasha look like a badass for the first time since

One thing I love is that Brock's feud with Joe and Reigns' feud with Strowman have made them look more vulnerable than they have in a long time, which is an interesting precursor if they do indeed do Reigns/Lesnar at Summerslam.

I haven't seen her work a match in months, but I loved all the flippy stuff she was doing last night. Literally the fastest and smoothest I've seen her move, ever. I think there's hope for her yet! (And obviously her getting squashed in one move was hilarious and fitting)

They only look weak against NIA F'N JAX, and this was basically her coming out party for being the women's division's Braun Strowman.

Yeah, for sure. I halfway bought into it - thinking they might stick together long enough to win the tag titles, or even challenging one more time before Cass turned on Enzo again. The clothesline was one thing, but that throw takes some real trust between two wrestlers.

Someone (Vince, maybe) doubts her but they see the money in her. I mean, we as fans might not be happy that she has a barely-there story, but we should be happy that she's *at least* on TV and they see enough value in her to use her as a hook to help 205 Live's ratings. Like, Nia Jax seemed primed to have a breakout

“I’m a grown man. I don’t believe in dead men.”

I wonder if the Broken particular brand of weirdness would translate to Japan. And honestly Broken Matt Hardy would only be the 3rd or 4th weirdest character on Lucha Underground (though that would be my dream signing, for sure).

If their feud with Decay wasn't a blueprint for a fight with the Wyatts, WWE doesn't know what it's doing (note: WWE definitely doesn't know what it's doing)

Yup. Tozawa and Gallagher are over because they're the most unique, defined face personalities in the division (and Neville is a monstrously great heel).

Yeah they're still using Perkins a lot on TV (both RAW and 205 - which is not true for most of the division), so I don't think he's on his way out at all. He won't be at the top of the cruiserweights nearly as much, but he'll be in the midcard.

Yeah. Cole would be an idiot to not be good at calling wrestling at this point - the part that ruins him on RAW is having to do play by play, interact with 2 other guys, shill a hashtag, shill any related extracurricular stuff (WWE Network, Total Divas), the next PPV and listen to Vince all at once.

Good season for abobo's. Jane the Virgin just had one that was treated as a matter of fact decision, too.

Her twitter is very endearing. I wish she were hosting one of those post-shows.

A distinction here: Rusev is booked as the heel, or WWE expects Rusev to be treated as one, but the writing doesn't really support that. This more or less started because Rusev came out to celebrate his marriage to Lana, and Roman came out uninvited to insult Rusev and his wife - not even to challenge Rusev for a

YES! THIS! I think when Roman had some dialog that was like "are you sure you're ready for HIAC?" a few weeks ago was the right direction. Wrong because Roman can't help but come off as smug/condescending, but it makes sense they're peers. For Foley to do it as GM feels like he's implying "As your employer, I must
