Stealing from their national guardsman in order to fight their government= okay
Stealing from their national guardsman in order to fight their government= okay
The Republican governor of Maine spent millions to track down something like $40k in welfare fraud a few years back. They get high on the self-righteousness, not on the facts.
Even more frightening is that the troops are preparing for interactions with militia maniacs as well.
Wait... Wut? Wasn’t it the right wing, who not too long ago was all worked up about violations of Posse Comitatus?
this outrageously expensive and ridiculous stunt by the Trump administration
Forget going into Mexico; according to the administration’s citizenship argument on the 14th Amendment, illegals are not “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States, which would mean they can’t even be detained by federal authorities on American soil.
Idk, Ryan is retiring/leaving at the end of his term.
Maybe the Philly fans (If they didn’t vote for him) can whip some batteries at him.
If they weren’t my friends, would they let me eat the leftovers from the buffet table at the end of my shift? Didn’t think so, libtard!
And now imagine what these people are going to be like when Trump’s back is against the wall and he starts giving commands that they need to protect their president at all costs.
....
It depends, but the main problem here is that Trump really hasn’t done anything regarding these asylum seekers but brag to his fan base about doing something. Until there is an actual affirmative action taken by Congress or the administration beyond hyperbolic campaign chest puffing, there is nothing a judge can…
Yeah, I saw this last night and pulled a “Hmmmmmm” face. I think they’re way, way, way premature to file this lawsuit.
You’re basically right; the “standing” (the concept that one needs to have been injured to bring a lawsuit) is incredibly weak here. You can certainly bring a lawsuit challenging access to the border and to asylum, but doing so with plaintiffs who have yet to be denied access is far more difficult. For instance, if…
Yeah this is what I was confused by. Obviously it’s a different legal system but over here during the summer the UK Supreme Court declared that Northen Ireland’s abortion policy is incompatible with human rights but couldn’t rule against it formerly and thereby have it revoked because the case hadn’t had a woman who’d…
Yeah, my gut feeling is that it’s going to be far too easy for a judge to rule that there hasn’t been any actual harm yet as they aren’t in the US and haven’t actually attempted entry.
This isn’t a defence of Trump’s disgusting policies but I’m confused as to how people can sue a country they aren’t in for an act that hasn’t taken place yet.
Lest we forget, fuck Michael Cohen.
not sure where i said people shouldn’t vote for democrats, or should vote 3rd party, or should stay home on election day
So what’s the point of this article then? To tell us that some Democrats who said they wouldn’t take corporate donations lied and continue to do so..........What a revelation. Next thing there’ll be an article that reveals a lot of men lie about the number of women they claim to have sex with.
