As the old saying goes, never trust anyone with the same first and last name.
As the old saying goes, never trust anyone with the same first and last name.
Off topic, but isn’t it amazing how many friends and family come out of the woodwork and ask you to represent them in municipal court for tickets for free once they find out you passed the bar?
The GOP report is as reliable as a criminal’s mom saying that the criminal is innocent.
Indeed, but SCOTUS never ruled against or took up a case on civil forfeiture that could easily be ruled against.
I had a client that paid off a judgment that came up on the title work for the property they were selling. I contacted the company and received the satisfaction of judgment from the owner of the debt without a problem. A year later I received a frantic call from that client saying that a debt collector sent her a…
SCOTUS has already ruled in favor civil forfeitures and ruled such is constitutional and not a fine.
Awesome! I wish I could count my comments towards my pro bono requirements!
I wouldn’t be surprised if the pre-nup has different compensation for Melania if any afterborn child ‘has good genes’ or not.
Just wait until conceiving outside of network babies won’t be covered — especially if the parents didn’t apply for pre-approval.
Sadly, you don’t get out of paying for something because they initially billed your newborn child. (Only in America would I evem have to type that sentence)
Your husband took care of it.
The most American thing a hospital can do is burden a newborn with life ruining amounts of debt.
Indeed. For future reference if that ever happens again send them a letter certified and regular mail asking the company to prove that they have the legal right to collect the debt. That tends to show that you mean business and that they have to prove you owe wjat they say you owe and they have to prove they have the…
Exactly, if you choose to use the hospital (offer) the hospital agrees to render services (acceptance) and you pay the deductibles or sign off that you or your will pay for service rendered (consideration) creates a contract. If the hospital bills the infant that does not negate the fact the parents owe the money.
No, an infant cannot. But, since services thatwere agreed to rendered, the parents are still liable. Most good insurances will pay those fees if the invoice is submitted to their insurance company.
Some people can’t help feeding the trolls. Also, one to beam up from the greys.
Don’t bother feeding the trolls.
Letters are much more effective — especially if faxed since there is a confirmation — than calls. Most debt collectors rely on the fact that people don’t know their rights and use that to get every penny they can. The second someone shows they know what they are doing, debt collectors immediately do everything they…
Indeed, but as an attorney that represents clients on both sides of debt collection — mostly foreclosures and evictions — let me tell you those debt collectors rely on every loophole in state and federal consumer protection laws. And, those are the legit firms. Most scum bag firms just file claims and rely on the fact…
That has to be the most awful and stressful job.
