What we have here is a classic example of people not realizing that acting like Trump to avoid liability for criminal activity only works for a very few amount of charismatic and/or sociopathic people like Roy Cohn and Trump. Gaetz does not have what it takes to pull it off — and he will go down in flames.

Except this investigation started under Bill Barr and there was a DOJ mandate that required Bill Barr to sign off of on the investigation and be fully briefed regularly on the investigation. I can’t imagine he would let a blackmail scheme continue against one of Trump’s loudest supporters. 

Which I thought was odd because that only happens with military spending bills — and even in those situations it’s been 20 years.

I think we need to get a blue state to pass a “freedom from religion act” or maybe press Congress to amend the constitution to prevent state, local and federal governments from pushing a specific state religion on their citizens...
