Yeah - the author's point lost me here. I didn't feel as though McKay was talking down to me at all; I felt he was screaming right at me. Which is the way I like my McKay.

I haven't an opinion!

Spiffyquiff Plimsure is my new band.

Man, that italics function in your word processor got wrecked.

Look. I just want You've Got Mail, but done with better actors on a clearly fabricated sets, preferably set in the 40's. I want lollipops and rainbows (in monochrome, of course), and the wimpy dude wins the day.

Where the hell are all the episodes for this amazing show?? There are 10000 reboots and sequels and blah blah blah. But this show? Nowhere. Now THAT'S an Unsolved Mystery.

There was one X-files episode I recall that had a man in a bedroom that was like…invisible sorta…or a chameleon…and he had these red glowing eyes. He was in this girl's bedroom and it freaked me out seeing it. It still haunts me to this day. I'm sure, once I find the episode again, that it'll be fun and ridiculously

This really was some of the best personal insights into any film I've read in a long time. Thank you for taking the time to share it with me. I am going to go watch the film again with these thoughts in my head and see what it brings to me this time.

I would love to hear what you (and perhaps Mr. McPickleshitter) thought about the film. It's been a while since I"ve seen it and, while beguiled about what it meant, it was fascinated by it and wanted to know more.

We may have met on this battlefield before, but I believe we must take up arms against one another about your love of His Girl Friday.

I'm really just a glutton for punishment. :(

OH MY GOD YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.

When The End is the Beginning is the End by Smashing Pumpkins (one of my fave SP songs) started, I thought "who did this. who made my dreams come true." I went into a catatonic state and immediately stated the film as the best of the year, just on the musical choice alone.

I've been waiting years to say this, but thanks to his encapsulation here of Super 8:

He almost seems like he's been wound up on a spring and let go.
