All three should be rated F.

Touche - I totally misread the article.

Wait. The kid who doesn't give a crap about Christmas is named Kevin McAllister? Like…"Home Alone" biggest movie of 1990 Christmas movie protagonist (secret anarchist/antagonist) Macaulay Culkin aka Kevin McAllister?

Oh absolutely - I don't doubt that at all. But the story of the band and the music they make are separate things for me. This response I have isn't well-thought out, I grant you that.

I know! Adam Scott belongs to that group of male actors where age seems to have no affect on their looks. I include in this group the following freaks: Donald Glover, Jeff Goldblum, Michael J Fox, Pierce Brosnan, and Tori Spelling.

Now that's a quality Bob Hope joke if I ever read one.

You see - that's all relative, you know? Which is great; I don't mean to belittle anyone's love of the band. I agree concerning the reason why they have a place in history, and I can see that a lot of modern music tends to reference them time and time again, be it in lyrical content or basic chord progression. I

Funnily enough, so is the idea that this conversation with you should continue.

Ah Animal Kingdom and Friends of Eddie Coyle…I know I should watch those - hell I own them both on DVD…but…I just want to play Fallout 4 and Just Cause 3 until my lungs can't function.

Good point - it makes a lot of sense. I can't (and won't) argue against the idea that less guns = less violence. I am merely suggesting that less guns in America = not gonna happen. It's rather cynical, but I feel that while I agree on certain levels with so many responders to my comments, we're wishing and hoping

I have an intense fascination with the idea people of loving this band as much as they do. I don't really care for their music too much - it definitely has an "of-its-time" quality that doesn't appeal to me. But the amount of love and adoration this band gets is perplexing to me - I always wanted to study it

My sister and her two kids who were able to fend themselves off during a break-in two years ago would disagree with you, my fine respectful friend.

Ben - its totally cool. My information is heavily based on anecdotal information. Like I said elsewhere - my frustration and anger at so much of what I felt was wrong with the world melted away when I saught help. I was pretty against doing it, mainly because here in the Southern US admitting you have anger issues is

Possibly - but I would like to see the data and methodology. Did they take into account experience and training? If so, how did the organize and prioritize the obvious spectrum of data points? What sort of security did they use for storing the weapon? There is a whole list - and its not a black or white answer.

I dont think its a magic bullet either. But I think it is a better start to a solution to our problem than "get rid of guns!" Thats ridiculous to me. Not because I dont want it to happen, but it wont. It unrealistic to think it will. I also acknowledge the same idealism in my argument, but mine wasnt suggested as the

SHUT UP, CRICKET!

Yes but the same could be said for cars. Or - most anything. If you dont have a bear you have drastically reduced your likelihood of a bear attack. Your argument for no guns is, besides idealistic (not going to happen), but singular in its focus, not allowing the multitude of other factors that refute (or enhance)

Surely you agree, though, that a healthier understanding of mental health issues combined with better communication between all parties, with a healthy dose of optimism, could help the situation. Not cure - not fix - not stop…just help.

It's hard to predict violence - true. That aligns with my statements concerning the complexities of the brain and the trillions of processes it completes while skipping billions of others. However, as I have said multiple times here, it's gotta start somewhere.

But the easiest way to protect yourself and those you love from home invasion is to own a gun (unless your Doc Brown or Macaulay Culkin and can rig your house).
