The games don’t take place in the far east because they’re games about a conflict between the Templars and the Brotherhood which didn’t operate in the ancient east. Ubisoft has explained this over and over. Maybe in a more modern setting they’d have a reason to be there, but it makes no sense for the ancient eras.

That’s a damn fine list. I’d throw an ancient classic called “Sword of Aragon” in there. You can check it out on GOG.
