I’m aware but how any one feels about this - that’s entirely subjective, my dude. Not an actual act of intimidation. Simply claiming it’s not subjective or referring to it as underline facts isn’t true. People act like this is the first time a company hired a separate investigator to do the exact thing they exist to

Is all you know of this situation from this article? I don’t mean that in an offensive way but Inside Gaming did an investigation into events and were provided with some additional information from Take Two that clarifies what was going on -

It can be seen as intimidation to an outside party but this isn’t the mafia. This is a company that was preparing potential legal action against the person. At this point, sending an investigator was pretty much standard procedure.

I mean... you don’t send investigators in a context like this without some intent to get at information you know the reporter is reluctant to volunteer.

That’s awesome!

Yep, in the novel pages you find Alex is voiced by Max Payne’s James McCaffrey. He also voiced Thomas Zane in Alan Wake (who is mentioned in Control) and Director Trench in Control.

Max Payne was turned into “Alex Casey” (Wake’s fictional cop protagonist) since, yeah, Rockstar now owns that character.

Yeah, I also believe that is correct.

And yet, as this article states, they aren’t “happy with how the update was performing across the different platforms Minecraft on which is currently available, which range from Xbox One X to smartphones” which implies that potentially the cross play nature of the game meant elements of the update were causing issues

Mojang’s statement went on to say that the studio wasn’t happy with how the update was performing across the different platforms Minecraft on which is currently available, which range from Xbox One X to smartphones.

Quoting this very article -

Nope. This isn’t an “Xbox issue” - they’re killing it off seemingly because they were designing it to support ALL devices.

Did they say impossible from a technical standpoint or was it impossible from publishing standpoint? There are a lot of legality concerns that come from supporting custom skins especially when they’re working alongside licenses to sell specialty skins.

Doubt the issue is with the Xbox running it - this update was supposed to be across the board on all devices Minecraft is on.

Doubt the big issue was the Xbox - this was meant to be across all supported devices.

No, a cease and desist does exactly that if he actually stops spreading the information he gathered which is what 2K is claiming to be mad about.

1. it wouldn’t just be a loophole - he would have violated the terms of service and be banned (as he was).

why’d they wait 10 months to do anything about it?

So you didn’t watch it?

You may be crediting Take Two a bit too much. Multiple companies were involved with the social media scrub his accounts received and, yes, guilty people are intimidated by people asking them questions about a subject that maybe they’ve knowingly done something wrong over.
