I don’t have a Batfleck story, but I do have a The World’s End story.

So goddamned fun. All the visual callbacks to Rebels, the Lothal vistas and shots with Lothcats poking their heads up...perfect. No, people who didn’t love Rebels can’t get nearly as much out of it, but for me, this is great.

Come on, you can’t call it Saw X and not have Jigsaw rampaging on a spaceship.

I just want to know why he went back to the 90's costume with all the pouches. What’s even supposed to be in the pouches? More sunglasses?

It’s because it moved to Netflix (lol Peacock) and they put it at the very top of their newly added list vs being hidden in the terrible Amazon Prime app. And it’s a lighthearted, fun show that’s easy to get into whether you’ve seen it before or not.

There’s a been a lot of praise for Hayley Atwell in this movie, and rightly so, but wow is Pom Klementieff mesmerizing to watch every second she’s on screen. It wasn’t even immediately clear to me that she wasn’t just some random chaos agent until well into the movie, but she’s having so much fun the entire time that…

I was going to make a “Which oddball DC character will Gunn cast next? Matter Eater Lad?” joke, but then I remembered that character was name-dropped in Peacemaker, alongside Bat-Mite.

With Mr. Terrific and Metamorpho, we’re halfway to the Terrifics team! We just need Phantom Girl and Plastic Man to finish the team off. 

That’s my thinking, setting up Green Lantern in a similar way to Peter B Parker from spiderverse where they’ve been at the job for a while now and are starting to hit superhero old age (50's) maybe they are already training another lantern or it’s being lined up.

Oh James Gunn, are you really giving us a big screen Mister Terrific? Like with a real budget for T-spheres and all their techno-wizardry? Sign me the hell up for that!
