If sci-fi horror stories have taught me anything, anything at all, it’s that you categorically should not eat ancient, eldritch horrors from the deep.

This is increasingly common. The university I work at has made several public announcements regarding spray painted swastikas on walls in/around dorms and white nationalism flyers have been found in various campus buildings.

I can understand why the student won’t press charges, as plenty of victims of other crimes generally don’t out of fear of reprisal, but the attack was witnessed by enough people or recorded on video for the prosecutors to at least plea them to something right?

I am so infinitely glad that when I was a teenager (a) social media didn’t exist and (b) I wasn’t famous enough for anyone to give a shit what I did.
