Yep. Around age 5 or so my kid was not super interested in the bag of tricks I was hauling around to restaurants. Letting him spend the time playing Minecraft or playing on Scratch with the sound off kept (and keeps) him happy for a good chunk of time.

IDK where you’re from but this was a big thing in NY when I was a teen in the early 90s. Lots of Irish and Italian girls in my Catholic school representing at boricua to get with boys and also seem tougher. It was ridiculous, but not at THIS level.

Yes! I saw it in previews and the staging and technical aspects are BEAUTIFUL and so worth it. There were a couple of solid performances but no one stood out as exceptional in the cast. The story is completely meh.

My 7 year old “reluctant reader” LOVES the Catstronaut books. And also everything that has Dav Pilkey’s name on it. But the Catstronauts are a huge hit and they’re clever enough that I don’t object to them. It’s a low bar but whatever keeps him reading!
