this freeze frame is freaking me out. look her dead in the eyes for 10 seconds and tell me you aren’t shook.

People really don’t get this.

That’s definitely at least part of it. No, I don’t want to hang out at the mall. No, I don’t want to wander around a department store. No, I don’t want to pay $15 to eat at a chain restaurant that serves chicken that’s objectively worse than what I can make.

Man, we Millenials are ruthless.

In addition to being poor, a lot of us just don’t want the things that the incredibly materialistic boomer generation thought were so fucking “essential.” No, I don’t want diamonds. No, I don’t want a 20,000 square foot house. No, I don’t need a new car every 3 years. No, I don’t want to spend all day at the mall

Every time I see one of those “Millennials are killing...” headlines it’s almost always because we’re poor.

As a very young Gen Xer, please keep up the good work.

I too helped kill it, only saw 1 movie due to lack of money and lack of sitter. Also, many of the choices sucked.

All of this. Also literally every dumbass decision in the movie is made by a dude, and since Ellie and Lex have interactions that aren’t about men it passes the Bechdel test.

Jurassic Park has more than a seed of feminism.

Yep. Just a great movie.

Jurassic Park holds up extremely well, honestly. The female lead is wearing sensible clothes given her profession and no one stops her from doing her job because she’s a woman. The young girl is the hacker and Goldblum is the shirtless eye candy. All the dinosaurs are female!

Except... Jackie wasn’t a WASP. They were the first and only Catholic couple in the White House. It was a huge deal. And Kim is white,

That could explain the decision not to even feign like she was singing, and just dance like a dork to her pre-recorded vocals.

I can kind of support this. It would explain the lack of decent choreography (just throwing something together at the last minute. I wonder if there was some apology before or after, to the

apparently she has the flu and was receiving IV fluids before the show

This. Shake it Off wasn’t a fabulous lead single (compared to the others), but it set the tone. Something new.

Seems like this isn’t a song so much as an intro to the album.

Holy shit am I tired of hearing the phrase “playing the victim” used about a woman who was literally just in a courtroom getting justice for being sexually assaulted this month.
