Reminder that it’s possible to believe both that O.J. Simpson killed two people in 1994 and that the Nevada parole board did its job correctly today

The amendment is attached to a bill that will give money to Donald Trump’s border wall and immigration enforcement.

Dreamy Peter from The Bachelorette.

FUCK YOU BUZZFEED I AM NOT DONALD GOD DAMN TRUMP JR.

There’s a lot to love: here’s another shot with Wixson; Walker is fantastic and opulent and his sense of color and (dare I say it?) whimsy is just intoxicating! Wish to be interesting enough to be photographed by him some day. Keep chasing your dream and I’ll chase mine.

If you were counting on SS for retirement, you done fucked up.

They picked a weird shot of her for the opening. But she has one of those faces that changes A LOT depending on makeup and expression. This whole set from Tim Walker was awesome! But I love this particular one for its unhinged, Girl Interrupted vibe.

She has 242k followers in IG. Considering that she doesn’t post anything ‘provocative’, I’m guessing they’re legitimate fans.

Too bad; she was great at the weird alien looks of high fashion. Not a girl next door; not a child of the rich n famous turned Insta-celeb, but a real interesting (in a baby-doll way) looking model that had presence.

I guess I’m used to 52 weeks of maternity/paternity combined leave being standard with firms obligated to have you back.

tl;dr: unless your workplace has good family leave policies, you usually aren’t coming back to the same place. Most US workplaces don’t.

Unclogging a toilet doesn’t make you an “amateur plumber” anymore than watching a YouTube video does. Putting bandaids on a cut doesn’t make you a “battlefield medic.” Making three meals a day for one person doesn’t make you a “chef.”

Yes. I left my job in July 2006, three days before WeePiglet arrived. I had planned to go back but we did the math and it didn’t make sense for me to do so, and I stayed home.

I agree completely. It’s hard. Terribly hard...but if your body can’t keep you alive due to a terminal non curable or treatable disease, then you should not be alive.

What pisses me off most about President Dipshit inserting himself in this story is that per his proposed healthcare reform, the children suffering like that here at home would be left to die while their parents are saddled with a copious amount of medical debt.

It is super sketchy, the power of holding elections is specifically reserved for the states by the US Consitution to ensure that, oh say a power hungry despot, isn’t able to easily override election safeguards.

Mississippi person here: SAME.

I can relate: as a Mississippian I was GOBSMACKED that our state’s Secretary of State stonewalled on releasing addresses or SSN’s of registered voters. If any request from a GOP “led” administration is resisted by Mississippi in any official capacity, you KNOW it has to be a screwed-up request.
