While this is true of the south, try to remember that most of Hawaii is a slum, and that it generally is populated with the same kind of people as anywhere else on planet Earth.

That’s why I love living in the Pacific Northwest, we’re all just so apathetic about everyone else; we mostly just want to be left alone to live our lives so that’s how we treat everyone else too. It can come off as cold at times though, I’m sure.

Agreed on the Southerners bit. Same goes for Midwesterners. There are both nice, lovely people and assholes everywhere you go!
