I admit I described what I meant badly, but I have the sense that everyone who replied to me lives in rural Idaho where construction is the only thing they can imagine this being about.

I’m talking about on-ramps, not construction merges and also not talking about polite on-ramp behavior. There’s a lot of shoving and driving on the shoulder past the merge lane end to cut ahead of others and then sailing blithely across multiple lanes of traffic without looking b/c IN A BIG HURRY and that kind of
