I’m not Christian because I find its theology unconvincing and its promises unappealing. If I did lean toward Christianity, though, I think these people would drive me away anyway.

Isn’t it also that junk food is more likely to be shelf stable?  If you’re cutting back dramatically on your grocery runs, you’re unlikely to be buying a ton of fresh foods.
