And I’m SURE* those grades were “legit” earned and not purchased with daddy orange’s money.

Two things I’ll add for thrifting: I buy wooden frames for my artwork. I’ll sand and repaint them to work them into the design of the art it’s framing so it becomes part of the piece. About the rabbit fur and other fur coats (I hate the fur industry too) that can redeem them somewhat (no one at thrift stores are

I teach students about Jade’s age and I have a small amount of sympathy for her. The giant sh!tstorm is about to break on her head and all the fiction of poise and control that intagram and youtube provide--that sealed environment that lets you make this simulacrum of a life is about to go all away. I’m not really

If not for her father, Meghan McCain would be the third-best account executive at Tucson’s 6th best PR agency.

Never thought I would be sograteful for the kind of public education that these kids don’t want. It’s a great way to avoid having to go to school with these types of people. I had a lot of educational privilege growing up, but my parents used it to help me get a math tutor made me do extra homework and study. It's

This was the most Meghany Meghan yet. The topic had nothing to do with her family and she went right to how EVERYTHING is about her family - because her family has benefitted from legacy admissions for generations, and rather than just not mentioning it, she brazenly defended it.

I am available, and they have access to me.

I’m objecting to your notion that social influencer = dumb bimbo. More than that, I’m objecting to “dumb bimbo” in general. It’s condescending, patriarchal bullshit that equates “girl stuff” with low value and it’s boring and gross.

In November 2013, Grande tweeted that while she ate “minimal” meat anyway, she had decided to go “100% vegan.”

The really dumb question: Why does she even need a degree? What could it possibly do for her? Why would her parents pay 500k to get her into a good school when they could put that same money toward ... idk, launching a clothing line or acting classes or some other kind of self promotion more in line with this woman’s

So tonight we’re rooting for a crying, entitled man-baby to browbeat a woman who’s expressed clear disinterest in him into half-heartedly entering a doomed relationship with him under duress so she won’t be framed as the asshole who broke the Bachelor’s heart on national TV?

The text of that tweet squicks me out. “The chase for Cassie is on.” Gross. She’s a person, not one of those mechanical rabbits that greyhounds chase around a track. I’m so over the narrative that if men simply push harder and don’t take no for an answer they’ll get the girl, like women are prizes to be won in the

Wait. THAT GUY is The Bachelor? I thought they at least had to be hot!?

The funny thing is, if a black person works their ass off to get into a school, racists will yell about affirmative action. MEANWHILE.........

Thought the same thing. I lasted a year supporting my addict ex before I couldn’t do it anymore. I can’t even imagine dealing with that with the public eye on you 24/7.

I was already sold on this movie halfway through the trailer but then they hit me with LISA KUDROW?

they cast “nerdy” girl teens with someone other than supermodel hot 24 year olds. Im excited just to see that.

Tbh I’d rather have an invasive surgery than a documentary made about me, or anyone close to me. You can recover from a surgery, but media lasts forever. I’m sure not everyone is as private as me, but just the idea of having details about me on blast makes me uncomfortable.

Yes, we can and should feel empathy for the family, but at the end of the day we shouldn’t simply not discuss the case just because the family doesn’t agree with the decision. The family is never going to want to revisit a horrific crime that their family member was a victim of, but ultimately it’s more important that

I agree, it must be traumatic for them, in a way that neither I nor most commenters here can understand. With that said, Syed is entitled to a fair trial, and while his guilt might be debatable, I doubt many could claim that his first run through the system was fair. Lee’s family didn’t sign up for this, but if Syed
