Yes. It's about pushing a social agenda that you don't beat people up. Women or men. And if you don't like that you can go to hell.

A day later and I still don't get this. How can you go back to a man who should have killed you. How?

Once that we know of; don't know many "happened once" abusive relationships...

I think you've nicely articulated the middle ground between "this is the worst thing ever" and "anyone who objects to this hates bodies and sexuality and it a total prude." The award seems to be a combination of "best body" and "least inhibited." The former has no place in a high school yearbook (not o.k. for the

I kind of get why people are upset about this. Voting somebody "most likely to skinny dip" is kind of like voting somebody "sluttiest." Remember how vulnerable people can be in high school? Of course there's nothing wrong with skinny dipping and being comfortable with your body! There's also nothing wrong with having

I'm not real clear on why we are putting the onus on the NFL to handle this instead of the criminal justice system.

She doesn't say "bad person". She says "hypocrite".

I'd say her motivations revolve around living a life of luxury with a violent millionaire, maybe?

Gold diggers will disrespect themselves pretty bad for that $$$$$. Just sayin'.

I'm sorry, but I have to wholeheartedly disagree with this article. I am supposed to stop supporting a team I grew up loving because the asshole higher ups made and a completely terrible decision? I have to choose between being a feminist and supporting a team whose fan ship is huge part of my identity? Of course Ray

I think this is a pretty reasonable rebuttal to their union supporting Al Sharpton's NYPD protest march. The were unwillingly dragged into a controversy and have every right to express how they feel about it instead of their insufferable union rep. speaking for them.

Cops like teachers are the ones who have to deal with every day consequences of the poverty, broken homes and disdain for authority that plague the black community. Maybe if you were literally told to go fuck yourself by 8 year old kids on a daily basis, you'd see things a bit differently?

seems like the teachers union president is trying to censor his own members.........a little hypocritical telling them to stay unaffiliated when he decided to take al sharpton's side.........a little inconsistant..........and shame on you Ms. Ryan for posting an article that takes a group of respectable women

Actually I find this post far more offensive. Evidently since I'm black I'm supposed to have such visceral hatred for cops that the mere sight of my teacher wearing a NYPD shirt should drive me into a rage.

Ok, yeah, that's not something a worker's union should be involved in. Especially not against another group of people effectively employed by the same organization as they are. Unions should limit themselves to actions that support their dues paying members, either directly or indirectly. It's not up to union leaders

You lost me when you started mocking teachers for wearing a T shirt. Not everything a woman wears needs to be fitted or otherwise fashionable, didn't you know? Good points ruined by stupid looks-bashing.

Not a lot of economic demographic changes in the Bronx, which has just a steep crime decline

As a black man someone who works in education I find it offensive that we as a culture now hide behind the term racist anytime someone expresses a view on race that is not in line with the far left. I do not believe that these teachers are supporting police killing black people, they are supporting the officers who do

Say what you want, crime in NYC has really gone down in the last 10-15 years

To be fair, Al Sharpton is a professional race hustler.
