Yeah, I like NPH. I am surprised that others here seem to not agree. He is delightful :-).

That actually is kind of shocking to me. Despite a few missteps, I felt that was one of the more enjoyable awards shows we've had in a few years.
So your solution is to lie, and to reward the cheating. (I don't buy for a second that the kids didn't know what was going on.) So you don't have to make any more excuses for how much a world full of lying cheats really sucks. Cool. Next.
Could be worse. You could have to explain to a kid from Vegas that it was supposed to be him getting a parade, him going to the White House, and him jumping up and down and celebrating a national championship with his teammates, but some liars from Chicago stole those experiences from him. I suppose that could be…
What exactly did these suburban kids gain from this?
Evergreen Park first raised he questions about residency.
FYI many local Chicago teams called for JRW to be investigated before the tournament. The coaches who asked for the investigations were attacked and called racists.
Moving to attend a better high school (for better athletics and/or academics) is not unusual at all. I agree with that. But to move a whole family just so a kid can play 1-2 years on a Little League team with the extreme long-shot hope of that team making it all the way to the Little League World Series? That's crazy.…
I'm pretty sure the Chicago Little League Assholes were the ones who ruined it in the first place. Those adults getting the fuck into youth sports were the real problem, weren't they?
Yeah, let the team cheat! For the children!
This wasn't gerrymandering. This was taking kids who should have been on other teams and putting them on JRW. Yes, 12-year-olds understand this. They know where other kids live.
I have a ton of LL experience as a player, coach and parent. My son's all star team was even DQ'd one year because of a pitch count violation in a game that we won. The coach was confused by the rules, but it did not matter. It was a matter of four or five pitches too many and we forfeited a game we won by 10 runs.…
So...Vegas lost to a team that broke the rules and drew from an impermissible pool of players and THEY are the jerks? Do you also own a "No Snitches" t-shirt?
The kids damn well know what's going on.
I think you're missing the forest for the trees here.
Huh? While it's true that wealth allows more mobility, do you really think that wealthier families move just to have their kid play on a better Little League team?
This has zero to do with race. The cheating was brought up by other teams in the Chicago area well before the tournament but were ignored because of the corrupt official in the league offices. They tried to sweep it under the rug and discredit the original accuser. This was never about race until idiots like you…
Wait, what exactly did Las Vegas do?
I knew where I lived and what league I played for when I was 12. I knew where u had to live to play with "the good team" in your city. All I'm saying is I they knew they were cheating, to say they didn't questions their intelligence.
Corruption? From Chicago? Noooooo....
