For sure, the shipping alone wouldn’t make it worth it to them to ask for it back. It likely wasn’t Columbia’s fault though.... They likely approved of the test press, but the stampers that make records are only good for ~5000 records and then they need new stampers. So the cutter will cut new lacquers for really

Ouch, I thought this was $35/month, didn’t sound like a bad deal. $35 for 6 jars (which my son would have gone through in 3 days is nuts.

It may not take a lot of time, but I had no extra time to give.... I was back to work at this stage (as a dietitian no less) and it was a struggle/stressful to make a wide variety of these mini meals to freeze each week. I totally would have done this for the 3-6 months it would actually have been necessary.

Yes, it is a combination of luck and being willing to be completely selfless and vulnerable, and trust that the other person will know how to cherish that gift.

Uggghhh, as a dietitian I certainly saw an influx of people wanting superfast weight loss to go with their boot camp workouts. Most maddening is how many big corps HR/insurance depts would contact me to run ‘Biggest Loser’ programs for their employees (the winner would get money towards their insurance coverage.)

As someone who has MRKH, which I guess you could say is on the intersex spectrum, urologists don’t just go snipping and tucking children (I’m 40 so this isn’t a new phenomenon either.) There is a lot of counseling and you have to be in your teens, if not twenties, for them to operate as there is ‘care’ involved with

It really is above your pay grade to decide who is deserving and who isn’t. How about compassion and empathy for the totally self-serving purpose of that it is good for your own personal psyche...

Wow, that is utterly bananas yet totally consistent with my experience. Thank you for shedding some ‘real’ experience, answers to this. I appreciate your time.

How do the two schools compare scholastically? The picture at the top of this article would suggest that East Side High is a pretty good school. I guess I am just trying to make sense of how intentional school segregation could still be happening? Is it a case of neighborhood zoning, or the students of East Side maybe

There might be something to why that has never happened... Look at the picture up above, the “black” high school is one of the top 500 in the USA. Having lived in the rural South I am guessing the “white” school isn’t as highly ranked.....

You do. I am an adoptive mom of an infant so I got NO paid leave (outside of using my vacation hours) as I didn’t give birth, ie couldn’t use my >1000 hours of sick leave even for his hospital stay, doctor’s appointments. Which, you know what, I really can’t complain as I knew that would be the deal and didn’t go on

No cops thank heavens! Just really embarrassing and frustrating, because there is NO reasoning with a tantrum of epic proportions. In a way it was a little reassuring. We live in a part of the country not known for treating poc great so the fact someone was worried about this little guy and the two white people trying

Uggh the science center!!! My 3-year old loooooves it and the 3 tantrums he has thrown this year was a direct result of leaving the science center after 9-5pm stint, and he felt we should stay longer. My son is mixed race and we aren’t. It was the longest 5 minute walk to the car ever with a toddler (who looks nothing
