Seconding LavenderMenace on that! Gringotts is BEAUTIFUL.

Yay!! I worked for their engineering department while they were building all of that stuff, so it makes me SUPER happy to see you liked it! Did you get one of the wands that lets you cast spells in the park? (fix the armor, light the candles, make it rain...)

I used to work for the engineering department there...you don't know the meaning of "in-line entertainment" until you go on that ride :)

Congrats to your aunt and cousin! Having the patience to teach AND be a mom is impressive.

My point was though that the people who homeschool their kids are, as you said, passionate about making sure their kids are educated. But these kids would probably do well no matter what, since the same parents would be likely

Gah! If there's one trivial thing I hate, it's graphs (or graph-like representations) that have misleading scales. Over half of the x-axis is only up to 12%??

Isn't this a sampling bias? People that take the time to homeschool their kids are generally pretty well off (at least one parent can afford to stay home from a paying job), and clearly invested in their kids' education. The kids whose parent(s) work two jobs (and might have jobs of their own too) are the ones in

I shit you not, the day I posted an article/personal comments on my Facebook regarding the Hobby Lobby decision, I received a full page message from a 20-year-old acquaintance about how I should be thankful that people are "finally sticking up for Christians" and that it's only ok for her to start birth control

I figured that was less of a colloquial qualifier for "nurse" and more like clarification of what had happened: a man committed the rape, not a woman (since both could be possible) ...although given how often people use the "male nurse" thing, there was probably a better way to word the headline.

I know for a lot of women that might be the only option, but please keep looking around too! Insertion is tricky for both pain levels and effectiveness of the device, and I've heard some less-than-great stories about getting it done at Planned Parenthood.

I had some anxiety the first month mine stopped, but then reason kicked in and it's been wonderful

True! I was referring to the Mirena with effectiveness as well...I think Paragard is a whopping .4% less effective or something too

Yeah, I was on multiple variations of the pill in America and I was always told I had to take the placebo pills.

Not ever being worried about accidental pregnancy was wonderful for mine haha... but I definitely didn't have any hormonal side effects related to that either. And my skin cleared up!

The pain of insertion really isn't sooo bad, and it only lasts a few seconds. I mean, yeah, it hurts....but then you get years of being worry free! The "I didn't know I was pregnant" stories are SUPER rare in reality (Mirena is 99.8% effective, although on the internet it might not seem like that), and if you're

I LOOOOOVE my IUD. I feel like right after the 99.8% effectiveness stat, they should just put "THESE THINGS CAN MAKE YOU NEVER HAVE PERIODS" in giant red letters.

Yeah, these places are already forcing out the locally owned shops around here (looking at you, Urban Outfitters in the middle of the arts district)... so hopefully you have better luck than us!

There's one in Tallahasse too, but it was built pretty recently.

can confirm

So...stop doing it?

I provided an actual helpful answer to a question, in long-form because I had the time to do it, and I think it's an important case for people to understand. My point to the ass who originally replied was that it's quite simple to give a quick answer, if you're not inclined to give a more helpful, long one.
