Sounds like the old mastery vs ease-of-use debate. I get why manufacturers go with ease-of-use. It does better with initial impressions and reviews precisely because it’s easy to use out of the box (and it’s basically behind everything apple does and why it’s the most successful tech company, so I get why everyone

So does Dr. Drew.  He didn't have to make a reality show exploiting celebrity addiction.  He had/has plenty of income streams available to him.

Admitted not much of a reader here... but is six figures for five books that much for someone of Moore’s fame/notoriety?

Normally I'd agree 100% with you (I got through 10 minutes of the Snyder justice league cut before I had to turn it off).  But Snyder's Dawn of the Dead remake was pretty decent; and a Vegas-zombie-heist movie sounds like it could be a lot of fun.  I just hope Snyder remembers to have fun with it.  No more overwrought

Don’t get me wrong, this sucks... Plain and simple. But it’s not hearsay (technically speaking, hearsay has to involve a spoken or written statement. These witnesses are testifying about an action).

I said that below; and it’s also why I made the Ray Kroc analogy below. Anyone can found a company. It’s easy. Stroll into your local secretary of state’s office, file articles of corporation for your company, you’re a founder.

And now you’re just getting technical. Was he one of the original incorporators on the Articles of Incorporation? Nope.

Pretty much this. We have to remember that people can be two things (or 3, 4,...).

Basically mirrors my experience. The only reason I started watching it was because Ted Lasso ended and it autoplayed MQ. I’m a pretty big It’s Always fan, but MQ never really caught my attention; and It was pleasant enough in the beginning, but nothing fantastic.

I think they “kind of” provide insurance. I’m pretty sure drivers are still required to maintain a comprehensive policy (I mean, presumably they’re not driving for Uber 24/7). I think Uber provides supplemental insurance in case they get in an accident while the “clock is on”, but those drivers are still out of pocket

You’re not wrong. I don’t have numbers, but there’s lots of horror stories, and people who just can’t take it. One of the other big problems is zoning. Lots (maybe even most?) Municipalities won’t allow them and don’t consider them permanent structures because they don’t satisfy building codes.

Chicagoan here, and I think this is the toughest part of the equation. I’m lucky to have a single family home and detached garage, but I know many who don’t; and I don’t know how to take care of them.

There’s definitely something missing from the story. I’m guessing that $546,000 only represents an award from the settlement of the criminal proceeding; and it may have preserved Smith’s right to still sue for millions for all the other shit (battery, assault, false imprisonment, etc.). So Smith may still be able to

I’m pretty stoked on this car. I have a 2012 wrangler unlimited, and I love everything about it but the fuel economy.... And that’s a pretty big “but”.

On pathfinders (jeeps, trucks, etc.), a number of blank switches are often included for all your after market toys.  Your winches, and light bars, and second light bars.  All the stuff you need to navigate out of a parking lot (and I say this as a wrangler owner).

God I can’t believe I’m going to defend Glenn, but the comments aren’t that bad in the context of the whole article. It’s more the interviewer prodding him as to his offensive lyrics, than GD going off the rails on some fox news 8twitter rant.

There’s this chicken sandwich that, if you eat it, it means you hate gay people. And it’s delicious!”*

Yep, here in Chicago we have the Brown Elephant, which supports The Howard Brown health center (it provides a bevy of health services to the LGBTQ and low income communities).

I really don’t like Toy Story 3. Take away the lava scene, and the jokes are just so hacky.

Brownell said the pano roof would be standard on US models...so maybe that’s why it’s not an option in the configurator.
