Da 5 Bloods looks really good, and I’m just learning about it. Hoping it lives up to the trailer.

We had a similar experience with my nieces (although thankfully we made it through the whole film). While my wife and I were enraptured with the Anton Ego flashback sequence, the girls were entirely confused as to why there was a “new” character right at the end of the movie... And they were pretty apathetic about all

Yep, and they tackled, or tried to tackle systematic racism (“Moo Moo”), systemic sexism (“He Said, She Said”), and homophobia (pretty much every time Holt is on screen). It’s also one of the few shows to take a (relatively) deep dive into bisexuality. Yeah it has some issues (“Name of your sex tape?”)...but I’m still

Yep. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I try not to judge. There has been a lot of adoption in my family (and amongst friends), and I’ve seen the the benefits...and some of the horrors. Some of these children placed for adoption, especially from some undeveloped areas, are developmentally disabled to the

Now playing

Tough call, but I’m voting Aimee, if only for the Chef’s Knife. Marnie has the microplane, and Allison has the fish spatula, which I will confess...I’ve never used one before, but now I need one. I think right now we have six or seven spatulas, and they all have special and unique uses.

It’s okay. As others have stated it’s basically Chipotle, but with pizzas. They also do pretty decent salads (same Chipotle concept). Their food is tasty but I also think it’s too expensive for the fast casual experience. For our family 4 pizzas and a couple sodas ends up costing about $45 (this is in Chicago).

Loving this series. Can’t wait for the technical breakdown. One request, and I know this vehicle is a content/clicks/revenue generator for Jalopnik, but could you get this awesome little beast into the hands of Doug Demuro? I’d love one of his 30 minute deep dive videos.  Maybe make it a Jalopnik-Demuro joint venture

I agree.  It’s the biggest reason I supported the impeachment proceedings, even though everyone knew they weren’t going to go anywhere and he would remain in office.  And like I said above, I hope there will not be any consequences from this...but that doesn’t mean I’m not concerned about them.

Or...the “fake news” elites have just given Cheeto face a massive gift by giving him a straw man he can rally against, and use to distract his followers from all his massive fuck-ups. Now he can bitch and moan all he wants about how Twitter is violating the First Amendment, and due process, and liber-tay...and this

Giardiniera and sausage is probably my favorite pizza. Unfortunately, I don’t get to indulge in it too often. My wife isn’t big on spice, and she claims the giardiniera oil invades her half of the pie (she's not wrong, but more for me then).  Salerno's on Grand Ave in Chicago does my favorite version.  And now I'm

And I really liked the sliding timeline, both structurally and as a metaphor for the drama generated by sports.

I think alot is being read into my comment. My only point was that Ash vs Evil Dead is awesome; and Raimi figured out a creative way to incorporate most of the Evil Dead universe (let’s not get into Army of Darkness licensing issues), warts and all, while updating it for modern sensibilities.  That was my point.

The tree assault scene was somewhat troubling, but it was the 80s, I guess?

Yep. His sketch in “I Think You Should Leave” is so great, and that just came out within the last year.

At my college, bars were 19 and over... But you still had to be 21 to drink. So we’d have a group of like 12 people, and one fake ID/one legit 21 year old do all the ordering. Now I graduated over 20 years ago, but that’s still the law there (although I’m not sure if they’ve gotten better at enforcing the actual 21

I am. I always bring tons of booze and food; I know not to overstay my welcome; and I never closed-fist punch women in the face.

I love Sepinwall and respect his opinions greatly, but I will never fucking watch “Dave.”

I don’t think my cooking tunes are really all that different than my normal playlists:* lots of pop punk and orgcore (whatever that means). Sort of relative sample from my Spotify daily playlist: American Steel; bad cop bad cop; the copyrights; Jeff rosenstock; the Lawrence arms; the lippies; teenage bottlerocket; the

I was getting pretty close to trying acid back in college. My friends did it a few times a year... I was hesitant but slowly getting sold. But then they did a batch one night that was allegedly 10 or 20 times stronger than a normal dosage (Who knows, It’s not like we had it tested).

The robot b-plot is fucking gold and she totally deserves her own spin-off.
