Seconded.

  • Which sandwich can you make better than anyone else? As much as I love sandwiches, and as good as I think I make them, I think plenty of people can make them better. So I’ll say I’m more of a Jack of all Trades type of guy.

Showing up as $18 for me. But the Stainless Steel 20 oz is showing as $13.

Ugh! iOS only. I saw the comments have some Android alternatives, but they aren’t quite the same or really ugly. You’d figure I’d be used to that in my Android alternatives by now...

Less of a problem.

It could be just those particular breasts? I’ve done sous-vide with both frozen and thawed chicken breasts, and never encountered this.

This couple sounds insane. Like, I get that you got your hopes up when you received that bogus letter, and it’s not like the casino was spending their money wisely (obviously), but when you get proof that it’s a hoax, you usually don’t go and make yourself look like a deranged lunatic.

I basically only get Blue Apron when I can get some kind of deal on it, and it’s definitely not something I do often. I think of it as a fun treat for a week, seeing new kinds of recipes. Plus, I hold on to the recipes and remake them from time to time with store bought ingredients.

The advice I needed was the one every teen/early 20's person needs to learn: Don’t sign up for a high interest credit card and expect to live off it. If you want to build your credit, there’s other ways to do it, and you’ll want to make sure you’re financially stable before you get a credit card. Even then, it should

I now want to mix peach and caramel sugars.

Just got lucky, I guess

I eat one breakfast most days. My girlfriend is super into fitness, but also hates waiting, so we have to get up early to be at the gym at 4am when no one is there. After that, we usually have a couple hours to kill before either of us has to be at work.

I mean Tucson is in the Sonoran Desert, but you are probably right that it originated in Mexico. My mistake.

I would say Sonoran Dogs but I feel like the secret on those has recently gotten out. Still, if you haven’t heard of them, Tucson invented the best kind of hot dog and you need to eat it.

I almost completely forgot about the article you took these answers from, and was very surprised to see my own name in there.

One pan baked salmon, potatoes, and asparagus. It’s quick and easy, looks great, and tastes great. Assuming you can get a good deal on some good salmon, it can be surprisingly cheap too. I’ve used it for first dates, cooking for my parents, to impress a client, you name it.

Gator meat. How can we choose anything else, knowing you have it?

A question I get from friends is, “What should be the staples?” Like what spices, ingredients, food types, etc. should a newbie chef have in their kitchen to ensure they can make some kind of healthy meal for themselves on a whim.

Some kind of roulade! It will happen at some point, I swear it! :D

The other suggestion for sous-viding for an extended period of time is try to insulate your container. Something as simple as wrapping the bath with a towel will minimize heat loss, making your food cook even more evenly, and reduce the stress on your circulator. I’ve also heard it cuts back on the electricity used,
