Back before Anthem was officially released, I started up the demo on my Xbox One. After I started it up, I was distracted by something and forgot about it for a while. A couple of hours later, I came back to my Xbox One and discovered that it was running hot just from being left on Anthem’s title screen.

Though I’m running the game on medium settings to keep the framerate up thanks to my under-powered GTX 970, it still looks crisp and detailed, especially considering all of the action.

The HDMI cable is part of the Switch dock bundle. But the Joy-Con grip is probably worth at least $10 (going by pricing for third-party grips), and the wrist straps are worth about $16 together (according to the $8 each price of the official Nintendo straps). What I would really like to see for a different Switch package is nothing but the tablet, two Joy-Cons, and an AC adapter for $200. I think the popularity of the Switch would explode even more than it already has if we had a version of it at that sweet $200 price point.

I disagree. Microsoft isn’t EA. I don’t get the sense that their priorities lie with anti-consumer monetizing practices. For now at least, I think they’re focused on having a quality first-party line-up for their next-gen console. They need to regain market share, so I doubt they’d want to do anything that might tick…

I could be wrong, but I don’t think any of these studio acquisitions will mean anything for this console generation. My guess is that they’re all working on exclusives for the next Xbox console. I just don’t see how there’s enough time left in this generation for it to be any other way.

So you’d want to see something like the PlayStation TV (which was a screen-less version of the Vita that hooked up to your TV). I could get behind that.

Same here. I pre-ordered the Croft Edition because I knew I was going to want the DLC. The early access was just a nice little bonus.

Yeah, it felt off with Shadow of the Tomb Raider too. People who ordered the Deluxe Edition or the Croft Edition got to play the game two days early. I mean, hey, that’s cool and all, but being able to play the game maybe a week early would be a much bigger draw.
