Finally getting back into Rise of the Tomb Raider. I’ve been letting that one go for a long time. Over the holiday weekend, I got all of the DLC I was missing when the season pass for the Xbox One version of the game went on sale for only $6. So I now have the complete package, and I’m ready to explore it.
Yeah, I think it’s going to be a long time before we see a PC version. It took the developers a long time to develop the game for just the Xbox One, PS4, and PS4 Pro. PC porting is a whole other animal that will take some time. I suppose they may have another developer handle the PC port. But if they do it themselves,…
You might want to re-read my post. You and I are on the same page. Replace “than” with “that” and you’ll have what I actually said. I do realize what was promised. I’ve watched pretty extensive coverage of all the promised features that didn’t make it into the final game.
I respectfully disagree that this is what the game should have been at launch. There seems to quite a bit more that was promised (including players being able to see each other) that wasn’t mentioned in the story as being part of this update. If they keep working on the game in the coming months, maybe it’ll be what…
That feels like the right price. I’m not interested in buying it regardless; but if I were, I think $20 would be my limit.
But not a scalper price. Never a scalper price.
I generally associate the word “tween” with girls, so I’m going to go on that assumption. Assuming your tween is a girl, I think she might find Kino’s Journey really interesting. It’s about a young girl (I think she’s supposed to be 14 or 15 in the series) on a journey from one unique country to the next in a…
I’m cool with whatever Wii U games they want to port to the Switch. Mario Kart 8? Awesome. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U? Even better. And even though this obviously wouldn’t be a Nintendo port, there’s a rumor that Xenoblade Chronicles X will be coming to the Switch. I’m all for these games getting the kind of audience…
Same here. I think a steady 30 fps feels just fine.
Digital Foundry noted that there are frame pacing issues, especially in the PS4 Pro version. I’m assuming the developers will bundle a fix for that in with the 60 fps PS4 Pro update, but who knows.
Yes, I was talking about the campaign. I actually haven’t yet tried the multiplayer. But I’m typically not that big into multiplayer anyway except in a select few games (like Mass Effect 3). I’ll give Titanfall 2's multiplayer a shot and see if I think it’s worth hanging onto the game after I’ve completed the campaign.

I concur, and I haven’t even played through the entire campaign. I have the Xbox One version and the game is so well optimized that it feels like I’m playing it on my GTX 970 PC. The developers did an incredible job with it. The gameplay is varied and fun, and the levels seem to have been designed to get the player to…

I’m not nearly good enough at Rocket League to be involved in that stuff. That said, I did join a Rocket Hockey League team. I played in one official match and I haven’t been asked to play in another one since. And hey, I’m not angry at them for it. I fully recognize that I’m not that good. For one thing, I play in…
I actually didn’t know that, but I doubt it matters. I imagine Nintendo could make a VR glove and call it the Power Glove... or maybe the Power VR Glove if there would be a trademark concern with Mattel.

I tried Thumper on PC and got a Steam refund after playing it for a little over an hour. Maybe my reflexes just aren’t fast enough, but I found that hazards were sometimes popping up faster than I could react to them, which meant that I often had to memorize levels through annoying repetition in order to get through…
