If electric were absolutely free you still couldn’t save money buying an electric car unless you drove far more than 35,000 miles per year. Go ahead and put the numbers in a spread sheet. New Toyota Camry 4cyl car payment ($25,000/5years+interest) getting 35mpg at my current 35,000 miles per year VS FREE electric +

Sheeeeee-it aint that the truth. I got these 3 kids and they want EVERYTHING!!!! I can’t get paid fast enough.

If you go back and read my post I did not say he needed to keep his old car I said he could not ‘’save money’’ buying a $60,000 electric car versus a $20,000 gas car. I put it on a spreadsheet and checked it out and it’s mathematically impossible until you hit so many miles that it’s irrelevant because the extra

A nice $25,ooo 32mpg (dozen sedan options) would be cheaper than any EV car loan. Do the math on how many miles you have to drive per year to break even over the life of the car loan. You will find it is not a savings just a lifestyle choice.

The idea that purchasing an electric car because of “gas prices” is the dumbest statement I hear all too often by the media. If you have had the same car for 12 years it is likely that you don’t drive enough miles in a month that your petrol bill is higher than your food bill let alone the payment of a gimmick

Can you imagine being such a political fanboy of one party or another that you would deface someone else’s property. I give it a year before these people start going door to door asking if you’ve accepted Jim Smith as your personal lord and candidate.

Agree. The back end of this Wagoneer looks F^cking stupid!

When you consider the age of the boaters and the age of the bridge you will find that it was a predatory attack. “Please take a seat,” Chris Hanson said to the bridge.

FIFY?

He’s not wrong but at the same time cancel culture works. I don’t want to see someone destroyed in their career and finances because they have a silly view, but if some little spoiled rich shi^ like this fella has to lose a job and it saves 10 lives....WORTH IT!

I’m not an EVO guy but if it were a Porsche 911 or a Corvette of that year, then that price wouldn’t be too unreasonable. If I recall from the 90's when Gran Turismo 2 came out that EVO is just as valuable and fast as those, and possibly more rare in the US than those. So yeah, it will. That said if any of you ever go

This car looks like it was designed for the movie Robot Jox!

“Went through three Volvos” would imply they died with less mileage than your 200K. Did they? Or did they simply want a new one and had means to do so?

Fiscally and mathematically speaking, If I can buy a gas car getting 30mpg for under 25k, and a comparable EV costs 50k, then $4.50/gallon isn’t a reason to buy electric. If they aren’t competitively priced then a working man like me isn’t going to buy them.

Part of me totally agrees with you. Another part of me has gotten really pissed because I noticed a fast food joint overcharged me a buck. And an even bigger part of me has fu....ed with other drivers simply because they were in my way. I sometimes think I might not be a very reasonable person :-)

Those tires are a bit heavy, time to switch to helium! :-)

I wish there were bike lanes but I’ve rarely seen them; here in St Louis a mayor ran over a guy on a bike “by accident” and that about sums up how Missouri feels about that. We have bike trails all over the place, really beautiful and scenic rides too. I don’t know about the city of St Louis proper, there are so many

I’m torn between my disdain for redneck crybabies, and my loathing for grownups riding bikes in driving lanes like this is some third world village. I understand both of their positions; and the contrast between the “peoples” convoy and normal reasonable people, is just as vast as the contrast between a bike going

Show me on the doll where Antifa touched you?

Short bed, single cab....that truck is for an office worker with an inferiority complex. That’s going to be a nope!
