I like the claim that it “costs thousands of dollars to replace” the tanks. No, you put a bolt with a fat head or washer in the hole and you put 5 minute epoxy around the bolt and tank. Push the bolt into the tank and patch the remaining hole. Viola you have no more hole and the bolt can’t hurt anything in the tank. I

I guess this is what happened between “Days of Thunder” and “Talledega Nights”?

It’s $250, that’s nothing to someone who could afford a loan on something that is likely Tesla money. That’s like saying $50 to someone reserving a $20k car.

I always thought the Rally in the 100 acre woods here in Missouri was a WRC event. Ken Block is often there and I thought he was a WRC racer. WRC or not, there has been plenty of rally racing here with big names.

Someone failed to listen to enough old Car Talk episodes. You could have hit it with an acetylene torch in order to break any oxidized bonds with expansion. Then when it cools (contracts) you could have popped it apart with some light impact. This is assuming that the seat tube wasn’t an interference fit and forced in

That’s not really the issue is it. The overalls get 15mpg. :-)

Oh Cinimod, you glass half full fool :-)

GM, providing vehicles to the enemy since WW2.....when they were caught supplying the Nazis via Opel. :-)

He needs to reduce his torque. I’ve never had snow tires and 90% of people in St Louis never bother with them. I have driven in up to 8" successfully without snow tires every year since 1998. The trick is just to take it easy. Now this lifted truck probably can’t take it easy because he has a ratio of 3.2+/1 and no

First off, Joe Biden has some responsibility to gas prices but not all. Life happens and gas was on the rise before he sat down in January. Second I think his income is more than adequate to take the hit. If someone is making far less, they aren’t buying the 13mpg truck, unless they want to, and then they deal with

Criminals have grown bolder. Everyday here in St Louis I hear about a dozen people being shot. The police have to catch the criminals. They don’t have the convenience of doing nothing because all the people on here complaining would then complain about that. If you think this pursuit was a problem then work on a

2015 Altima because the CVT failures and subsequent loss of value. 2013 Elantra because it was supposed to get 40mpg but it got 29mpg; I traded my 2009 Sonata in on it and the Sonata got 32mpg and I couldn’t even fit in the Elantra. In hindsight every brand lied about their mileage but I loved that Sonata.

Unfortunately though the pilot was given a hefty fine for occupying the HOV lane with no passengers. :-)

Seemed obvious to me too.

Side impact testing. Can’t get glass headlights in the US either.

Did anyone look into the story to find out why. Could it be that they had a bet and came through on it? Could it be that the price of the Buick Opel was so much lower that the point was that it’s overall value is higher? Surely if it sounded incredible that they would do this then as an investigative reporter you

I always thought GT (Grand Touring) on a Dodge means comfortable for long distances. Quote from another forum — “Gt stands for gran touring, or gran turismo for the dodge charger in its most simple sense. The word tourismo derives from italian roots, which means an automobile capable of traveling in comfort and style

Looks like the Dodge Copperhead.

So, only max HP matters? 1. Get a car that is starved for air like my 2013 Elantra was. Drive it a week with the stock box, then drive it a week with a short ram intake just behind the air inlet where the stock tube is coming in. Do some tests driving where you aren’t measuring max HP because nobody drives daily on

You have parking fees, insurance, stress with car break-ins, maintenance...... Just rent a car. You get a working reliable recent model for ~$100 each time or day. If you do that every couple of months it’s cheaper and less hassle than owning. If you are in a city with mass transit then a car is not worth it.
