Yes and no. The problem with high altitude drives is the lack of air for the engine, something like a malaise era K car would be far too asthmatic to provide any HP at the summit. The 911 is turbocharged which helps massively.

EVs are very focused on efficiency, to the point of low resistance rubber. Not sure what brand were on there but there’s a good chance they were slicker than owl shit.
