According to Garmin, the Edge 520 is rated at about 15 hours of battery life. The ELEMNT (which I own) is rated at 17 hours of battery life according to Wahoo, but in reality I think most people average around 13-14 hours.

I can get about 9h of use out of the Touring in general bright light (that means I don;t have to turn on the backlight too much)

The Garmin has something like a 5 day battery life. It is more than enough to be able to do any normal ride. My brother and I just did a century and he never even mentioned his battery. I think he charges it about once per week, give or take.
