Firefox Sync on the desktop never worked for me. Well, it worked IF I went to the menu and explicitly chose Sync Now or whatever the command is.

Variable bit rate is a pain for me. My [old] MP3 player can't tell exactly where it was in the song if I pause or fast forward.
