I’m in my late 40s. That means I was a teenager through much of the 80s. At that time, stuff from the 50s and early 60s constituted classics, in terms of car design. 70s cars just looked outdated. 80s cars were what was new. Today, people my age are prime car nut material - old enough to be done with the tough years

I knew people who had Citations back in the 80s. I don’t know any who remember them fondly.

Find a 36 year old car that is just as clean as this for the same price. I’ll wait.

Pardo’s personal Ford GT, you say?

Yup, 1300 pounds. And to counteract all that weight, it has more than four times the horsepower. You stay nimble with 80hp, I’ll take the 350hp future.

To each his own. I’ve always felt the 914 was a nice more angular approach on the 911 body type. Whereas I find the 928s & 944s hideous mistake of the 80's.

I love it when a take as stupid as this one is the first comment I scroll to on a post.

She’s blonde, but not that blonde!

Actually, I think it’s any city intersection with a Tim Horton’s, a beer store, and a Hudson’s Bay Company.

This could happen. I may have once been a passenger in a farm rat plane with a couple other teenagers who would take turns bracing the co-pilot door open so we could pee out the door (those beers in the grocery bag).

I wish I could give that 2 stars.

I bet the black flies have something to do with it.

Ontario Provincial Police.

You know, I’ve been here all my life and I never noticed how redundant Ontario and Provincial are in OPP...

Your sister sounds awesome! I drive a mk7 R and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at what a mature crowd these things draw. I’m only 32, but I’ve ran into other owners and enthusiasts well into their 50s and 60s who can afford plenty of “nicer” cars, but just love these little hot hatches.

In fact, my Dad’s first car

I haven’t mastered the “back it in with the e-brake” maneuver yet but when I do you’ll be the first to know.

Heathen! You should be watching Cary Grant and Myrna Loy in “Mr Blandings Builds His Bimmer” instead…
