I commute up a longish (1/2km) exit ramp on the way home each day. There is always someone who waits to the very last second and dives across the solid triangle to cut in front of the lineup. Sometimes they go past the triangle and the arrow sign and cut across the dirt after the two lanes have separated. I notice

My first and only new Jetta. A 1984 GLI with a fire engine red paint job. It was my baby and I finally traded it at about 200,000 km to my mechanic for resale in exchange for a mini-van. I still pine for it to this day. About seven or eight years later I am dropping a vehicle off for service and there is my car,

Key word indicated was “Electrics” - a big nope from me!

Maybe the vibrations were just too much for her and she has to go back to sitting on the dryer like everybody else...

Seeing the word blown brings me back to the sweet days of my youth. To my T-shirt that read: “I’d rather be blown than injected”. That’s about the only good thing to come out of today’s NP/CP...

I looked at the lede photo and saw the two helmets, black and white. My brain immediately said, “these two guys in a single car, two steering wheels, fighting for control to finish the race across two different finish lines, left line - black helmet wins, right line - white helmet wins”. Wow, I guess I didn’t get much

Probably because they have the best seatbelt-less, airbag crash rating of the lineup...  Gotta protect the poor guy somehow.

Next up, a bare chested DT, doing an open water swim, wrestling bears or snuggling puppies, just like his bestie...

Keeping this in an automotive theme, isn’t that the back end of a Red Tesla Roadster sticking out of the dust in that one photo?  Yeah, about 3 km off in the distance towards the right...

Sounds like it’s time to bring out an improved design of the old slant 6, “The Leaning Tower of Power!”

Oh, I thought she was working as a Red Cap now, hauling bags around the concourse...

Perhaps a new Toupé would make him look more exotic?  For a heck of a lot less money.

Wow! I’d forgotten about Mack Bolan. Started reading those when I was in my 20's. Hmmm time to see what’s online at the library. Thanks!

Hah! I had a 1991 Ford Ranger in that colour. Similar performance with no fires.

A bit of Armour, a turret mounted gun and you’ve got yerself an Urban Assault Vehicle! (I’ve been waiting years to say this).

Waaaay back in the day (‘77 or ‘78) we met met up some girls at a winter cottage in Northern Ontario for weekend hijinks. It was so cold that the beer sitting on the fridge froze overnight yet the beer inside remained drinkable (super-chilled?). Anyhow, the girls didn’t have a block heater and so we drained the oil

Dummies at the factory put the steering wheel on the wrong side again.

Hook a Tesla up to it and tow that building away!

Soylent Green to feed the crew?

Since we are in the tail end of the holiday season it sounds like the “Fairytale of New York” might be the best background music for this article:
