I dunno—there appears to be a not-orange zone around Trump's lips and eyes.

Well, it *is* still the (apparently unending) Age of Snark, after all.
I guess the *Pathétique* Symphony wasn't on her playlist.
I had an idea of where Rush was headed the first time I heard "Vital Signs". Ah, well.
That'd be after Hold Your Fire. You can hear the difference on Presto. (I was hoping they'd be longer and "proggier", too, but instead they're shorter and simpler.)
Signals seems to me like a bridge between the two eras. Honestly, Permanent Waves seems to have more to do musically with what came before it than what came after, if you ignore certain things. It's always been a gradual transition with Rush—never any radical changes of direction.
Isn't it Frank Oz? Henson had that big beard by then, and he had a long nose.
It seems in the age of the Post-Punk PoMo Hip Consensus most people just don't think like that any more. Everything is a "text", and if you don't conceive of your art that way, well, you're just not worth taking seriously.
Uh, that's Rush. ;-)
Dean was, in fact, exploring plans to make a movie based on his art; from what little I know, he hasn't gotten much farther than a draft script and a few pre-production transparencies, but I think it's been suggested that he thought Avatar was pre-empting him.

"If I weren't dead inside, I would be horrified…" Just how long is this "post-modern neo-retro snarky ennui" vibe gonna go on, already!?
Seconded. I believe we've been talking for these past few decades about how Prog Bands Have So Little Sense Of Humor. Feh, I say! Feh! Apparently iconoclasm is wrong if it's directed toward the wrong icons.
