Dealer extended on a new car is bumper to bumper.

True.  I’ve only used one extended warranty, but damn!, I’m glad I had it.

Nope.  Dodged that bullet.  Like, the only one I did miss.

I changed mine at 95k and they didn’t look too bad at all.

You still don’t get it.  I replaced the existing H11 Halogen bulbs in an 11-year-old car with H11 LED bulbs w/resistor pack.  They were plug-compatible, and the pair and shipping was under $100. Amazingly, the car was wired for and had headlights when I bought it.  I suspect many cars that people here bought also came

What you say isn’t light bulb tech.  They have to do all that to every vehicle every refresh.  You know a 2019 Malibu is slightly different than a ‘72 Malibu, right?   Wire technology is pretty static right now, also.  The issue is claiming that putting a different bulb (which is an off-the-shelf thing at AutoZone

Excellent quote.  I have an 11-year-old HHR.  My Wife says I can get a new one.  I just don’t like anything as much.  Carries like a truck, and gets 33 mpg mixed.  Very comfy for my long legs.  So I’m spoiled.  Current smaller offerings just don’t excite me as much.  And price tags make my stomach hurt.

Fair judgement there. My ‘09 has, like, 8 airbags.

You don’t get more value, you just get more crap. I have never needed internet connectivity and web in a car.  I don’t need a fancy touchscreen computer to turn on the heater.  Why should I pay $2k for it?

Several things wrong there.  GM won’t research a “new light bulb”.  Sylvania might.  GE might.  People who sell light bulbs might.  On the other hand, if they “researched” a special plug that only their special $2,000 light bulb plugs into, they can KMA.

Just buy a Chevy, then.  If a Chevy doesn’t have a squeak, it can’t have been built right.

I’ll agree there.  I looked at and researched HHRs.  I drove one.  I wanted one.  It had 40% American parts, a Japanese transmission, and was assembled in Mexico.  Still seemed fine to me.  Been driving it 10 years now with no issues.

Sooth.  And a Gold Wing is more ‘Murican than a Harley.

One question, though... how does Germany feel about their factories moving to Mexico?  Aren’t they going through some layoffs over there also?

What orifice are you pulling that number from?  I replaced with good LEDs with a resistor pack for $40 each.  What exactly is “$2,500 headlight technology”?

My Chevy turns them on at any flicker of shadow.  They also stay on for some time afterwards.  In my case, they’re overkill, but I’m okay with that.

Just eliminate all the gimmicks.  Total fleet mileage.  And include sales.  There’s a huge difference between;  “We make a 40 mpg car and a 12 mpg truck, therefore our average is 26.”, and; “We sold a million Silverados and 9 Sonics.”.

To make the movie work, that bit had to be glossed over.  I suppose if you wanted to be picky, at the age of 18, regardless of whom ‘adopted’ him, he would have become a legal adult with rights.  I would imagine a good lawyer would not only have freed him, but gotten him a few billion in back salary.

I loved the Truman Show. However, I don’t compare that in any way to today’s so-called ‘reality’ shows. If you put a camera in someone’s face, it is not reality. I can’t believe how so many people think that’s how all these people actually act 24/7.
