Cate Blanchett would be worthy of an Oscar for a 2-hour film of her sitting on a couch reading ‘War and Peace’, maybe sipping a nice wine.

True.  When I saw the billboard here, I shook my head.  Like Porsche making a refrigerator.

Fairly close. I would say (at this point) 50 years, only since tech in other data fields has a habit of progressing geometrically.

Not the cheese!!!!!

Trek was big on that in the ‘00s.

I’ve read that the seats are ‘special’, and not for consumption.  They are then shipped back to the plant to put in the next batch.

Interesting.  So generations thought that was the weight?  Does that also cover the Ford’s F100 & F150?

Yep. That’s why the Silverado is the ‘1500'. Same with the ‘F150'. Chevy’s old, old model was the C10, for 1000.  The S10 was 1000.

Today, I don’t know what the difference is besides the badges and a few geegaws.  Back some years, and the GMC was the heavy work version of the Chevy.  A Chevy was rated at 1000 lbs., and the GMC was rated at 1500 lbs.  But since all regular trucks start at 1500 now, it’s doesn’t mean as much.

I just send them a self-addressed stamped envelope every day.

Well, she does have to eat, you know.

Good read. I wondered at the complete demo of using a timing light. Are the young’ns that clueless today?

It’s like learning any other reflex action. I’ve seen a new user fall straight over. I never got the hang of the ‘twist-and-pull’ method. Gave them up.

Mine’s comfy enough.  But I do lean over to get a tippy-toe on the ground.

I don’t lean on cars, but on a properly adjusted bicycle, when on the seat, your foot won’t be flat on the ground.  They don’t want to get off the seat.

Yes, but a GMC Denali is about 20 feet long.

I had a Silverado with the V6... got 24 on the freeway, but abysmal in town.

I did that.  $19 for a truck to get the queen-size mattresses home.

I got a 2000 Silverado, in red, with A/C, for $17k.

Wake up to the modern age. When Marines landed at Somalia there were TV crews there.
