Last year of the Tercel 4WD wagon.

To be honest, there was apparently a recall, but I moved around a lot then.  The ignition bits just quit working one day.  Rolled up to a stop sign in the middle of nowhere, *clunk*, call a tow truck.

They’re easier to change than the air filter!

BMW unveiled a 4-door ‘Sport Coupe’.

Odds are it’s the ignition module pack.

I’ve never had a GM breakdown and leave me on the side of the road.  It always gives me warnings when something is going wrong.  I can NOT say the same for VW or Toyota.

My 10-year-old HHR LS has thrown 2 codes, both for the cam solinoids, which had an updated part.  I love it, and can’t find anything I like enough to replace it with.  Carry a dryer and get 34 mpg?

They used to be the ‘heavier’ trucks.  While a Silverado was a 1000, the GMC was a 1500.  The GMC was the real work truck.  But since the regular Silverado became a 1500, I don’t see the extra money, really.

When I was in Germany, every taxi and Police car was a BMW.  It’s the Ford Escort of Germany.  It’s only marketing that makes it such a ‘status’ symbol here.

Truth.  My last Silverado was plain as dirt.  It did have an automatic and AC, but I had to put my own disc player in.  It was that nice 2000, red, and I got it for $17k.  And a bench seat with manual window cranks (remember those?).  Wish they still existed.

They might have figured in those gussied-up versions of Chevy trucks, the GMC.  I swear the only difference nowadays is the badge.

You are young!  We did this in ‘77, when ‘spray-and-pray’ photography cost a bloody fortune.

That’s truly an over-exaggeration.  You drive 16 hours on a 5-minute break?  And, at last check, a Yaris doesn’t do 400 miles at freeway speeds.  But seriously, a head call, grab a soda and burger, stretch the legs a bit... it wouldn’t be a bad wait.

There is one really big problem with the gas tax, as well as any other ‘commodity’ tax.

2nd:  I can understand about the fancy pens, though.  I like a good pen.  Too many years using ‘Skilcraft - U S Government’ pens that always quit when the Colonel was saying something really important.

I found the video.... boring.

Boring is okay.  I LOVE boring!  I get excited about a car that goes 200,000 miles with one major service.

I buy a vehicle to go to work and back. I wouldn’t mind it holding stuff from Lowes or Ikea trips, either. I have no problem with paying for things that, like, make the truck go from point A to point B.

Only in ‘Murica, it seems.

As were Vega and Pinto, IIRC.
